never thought of doing that. did that work then, pressing the centres out and swapping them over. thats a great idea. think i may do that.

i know its been covered a few times but i was gonna and still might go down the easier route of getting the custom front hubs (which are currently out of stock at eurospec) vr6 rear discs with a 10mm spacer and have my front discs drilled to 5/100. since they are out of stock and my front suspension is probably getting a bit tired i was wondering what parts are needed exactly for the fronts. i havnt got abs, if that makes any difference here is a list of the vr parts i think i need. hubs outer cv's driveshafts lower control arms lower ball joints anti roll bar discs callipers? flexi's? i suppose it isnt that much of a job. but it looks really costly. if anyone has any ideas. please post. just a bit stuck what to do. i know its alot of work for a set of wheels but i like them alot. :)

im with cnut, did this the other weekend and im not putting the wiper back on again. cleans up the back end imo.

so what will i need to convert the front. hubs and driveshafts. do my calipers and carriers fit to 5 stud hubs. also which hubs and driveshafts can i use, does it have to be corrado vr ones or can i use the vr ones off the golf or even the gti ones. i will get new discs anyway so it doesnt matter about that.

so let me get this right g60bv. use five stud disks on the rear to convert to 5 stud but adaptors on the front. the adaptors that i have seen are available in 25,30 or 35mm. will these still give the wrong et?

i like the all red tinted ones myself. but the ones you have just put on are growing on me.

just purchased another paper filter from round at the local spares shop. £6.80. not bad at all.

just push the stalk forward as the wiper is wiping and that turns it off when it returns to its resting position.

spose the replacement paper filters dont even cost that much either?

right after reading something recently in the members gallery about a jabba filter letting s**t into the charger i have decided to stick with the standard airbox, i was just wondering which panel filter is best i know that k and n is the obvious one but is it the best. or are cone filters fine aslong as you keep them clean and oiled?

i was going to do the 5 stud conversion, but its £150 for the adaptors so unless someone has the lot disks included to do the swap for £150 il just stick to the adaptors.

il get some prices. How much do you reckon i should sell the nearly new tyres what come with the wheels for. cant remember the size of them.

getting these rims and i was wondering what size tyre is best. Is it 215/40/17 or 205/40 or 205/45. or is there another combination, i know that they are coming with the tyres on but they are too big. right?

even tho it isnt running right im still spending money on the looks of it. hopefully i have just bought a set of tt competition rims for it and il bling them up till i get the fk konigsport. :lol: :lol:

might be the outer cv joint? does it click on full lock?

right unplugged it, no difference. i have just decided to take it for a little spin, took it out, i could drive it near enough normally with little throttle but as soon as i put my foot down or took it over about 2 1/2 grand it misfired run on 3. anyone got any ideas, im so nearly there now.

right then, this is where we are upto. it now starts and runs spot on while cold, but as soon as its up to temp it just keeps putting the same amount of fuel through and so develops a miss fire. has anyone got any ideas. im so nearly there, its frustrating. im thinking a sensor of some sort. but i dont know.

is that the one off ebay?

mine should look a bit different next month with different wheels(fingers crossed) and a nice set of fk konigsport to sought out the 4x4 ride height. oh yeah and get busy with the clay bar and carnuba.

there isnt alot left to get rolled and flared though. :lol:

do you reckon the upside down badge will catch on. got some carnuba, so will put some pictures up when its been cleaned.
