Fla, I have 3 Cup 3's for sale(!), one of them got fecked last year and Mille Miglia aren't making any more, hence the ZW1's, I'm gutted :D Next time I'm up in yorkshire I'll get some pics of em and put em up for sale, could come in handy for people with Cup 3's to have spares. Phil, I keep spotting little errors here and there, I might go back and tweak the bonnet if I get 5 mins it does detract a bit, well spotted :salute: and it's sooooooo good to be behind the wheel again, I'd forgotten how much I love the car. Glad you all like the Wallpaper  -

Paul LOL, yeah s'pose the engine could have something to do with it. I got the rims just before Christmas, from Styledynamix, DTmotorsport also do them. They are the only places that I could find. Triggermyson, Mine have been on for 18 months so yours should drop more over the next few months. Dragon green is lovely, I didn't realise it had so much blue in it. -

GIXXERUK completely agree with you on the drop, they're the same springs all round, don't know why it's higher at the back. Yeah, the rims are 17X8's all round, I've noticed an increase in tramlining, even going from 7.5", I can live with it though. -

Heh, thanks Dave, it took me quite a while in Photoshop to get rid of all the reflections from the building next to the car, the lighting isn't quite right on the wheels but I'm not gonna go and add shadows (lifes too short) I was going for that Audi shadowy studio kinda look. I've got the image at 2200 but I haven't got any hosting. I'll replace the current one with a 1024 later. -

How much is yours lowered? If you're looking at my avatar, I faked it, that was when I noticed how much higher it was when I updated the avatar from my old Cup 3's( car was on Eibachs then). -

Thanks for the nice comments guys. They are 17"'s Trigger, when you look at it from the side it sits higher at the back than at the front, prolly only 10mm. It's got Koni TA shocks and H&R springs. Hopefully switch to Coillies later in the year so that'll sort it. If anyone wants either of the top two as wallpapers then I could post a 1024 version. I'll see if anyone asks. -

Ta v. much GadeA! My fave colour too, fortunately :) Could someone tell me how to upload an Avatar at the bottom of the sig? -
Thought it was about time I got some pics of my C up on here. Sorry about the crappy backgrounds, if there is ever a time when the car's clean, the weathers good and I've got time then I'll pop out somewhere nice and get some decent photo's. I got the car about 4 years ago, I've always had Dubs, 2 scirroccos and a 2.0 16v C. I've done the usual mods, AMD rechip, Air filter, exhaust, light loom, supension and a couple of interesting ones like the TT Shift ring. The ZW1's have replaced my Cup 3's, continuing my Porsche fetish. I plan to get a full respray this year, chains and tensioners then maybe charging her if I'm confident that all is well :? I might have to have alook at the rear springs, currently on a 30mm drop with H&R's, I had Eibachs on before and the car sat a lot lower at the back, may have to get some 40mm cause it's looking a little high. I really can't imagine ever getting rid of this car, only thing that would tempt me is a 993, even then it'd be struggle. The Pchopped pics are my attempt to make some otherwise dull pictures a little more interesting whilst echoing VW adverts. Edit: the Seventh day wallpaper is zipped at 1280 and 1024 for your viewing pleasure :)

Mille miglia aren't making the cup 3's anymore. I've got 3 for sale if that's any good? :)
-
Don't get me wrong, I also like the more modded C's like Biggerbigbens, Lee's and Phat's but OE+ just goes to show, with a few subtle mods, what a great looking car the C still is. I still get comments from people regularly "asking what it is?" and how much they like it. You don't get that with many of the jelly moulds that are produced today.
-
Gonna put a vote in for Kev's car, every mod seems to be so well thought out and, being IGV, it's a source of inspiration for me, I've already ripped him off with the ZW1's, although to be fair they were also inspired by VR6(Tom's car) another top colour.

That's the lot I'm afraid, all gone.

Still got 2 left if anyone wants one. I'll get my elves to despatch them today :x-mas:

No probs Jim, it is Christmas and all that. :x-mas:

Heh, no love necessary Triggermyson, but PM your address

I've just discovered a stash of Karmann stickers and postcards that a very nice girl from Karmann sent me a few years ago after a visit to Osnabruck. After a tour of the museum we went for a few drinks and a couple of weeks later I recieved a nice little package of stickers and Postcards, must have made an impression  Anyway I've got 20 stickers to give awayand the first 5 to PM me their name and address will get Corrado Postcards as well. Don't get too excited cause the stickers aren't the non-tack window sticker variety, unfortunately they have a gluey back and so would have to be put on the outside of a window, probably not ideal for putting on car glass :( Still, they're free :D

Nicely put Kev. I don't put Porsche wheels on my car because they are Porsche, but because Porsche make bloody nice wheels. The fact that they are Porsche and they are related to the VW group is just added Kudos as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for the replies fellas, turns out that the garage where the car was going to be MOT'ed were able to get the wheels off, don't know how (don't really care) so it went in for MOT on friday and passed!!! I am one super happy bunny, wasn't able to get up to Yorkshire this weekend so I get it back next saturday. I'm counting the minutes, bit nervous actually not having been behind the wheel in a year. I'm sure I'll be fine.

I tried an impact driver today but not with a hammered on nut, wish I'd had net access up there, s'gonna be another week before I can get up there, this definitely sounds like the way to go. I've got the Laser tool and it doesn't fit.
-
Makes sense. I guess that's the next thing to try. Cheers.
-
Ummm, no. Didn't think that would work. The nut seems to be on very tight, would a banged on socket grip under a lot of torque?
-
I've had a propper bummer of a day, I travelled the hundred miles to where my car is stored to find that the impact tool that I bought to get the locking wheel nuts off didn't fit. I tried to make a key by cutting up a 17mm socket with an angle grinder but I couldn't get an accurate fit, it wouldn't budge even with an impact driver and an air gun. I can't drive the car to a garage cause it's not MOTed or taxed, and I can't MOT it cause I can't get the new wheels on the car! Goddamn. Anyway, I took a crap photo with my mobile if anybody recognises the locking nut could they let me know what make it is, getting desperate now.
-
Ah, okay. I'll pop into Halfords tomorrow and see what they've got. Ta.
-
Took delivery of my new wheels (lurrvely) on thursday and I'm off up to yorkshire, where the car has been stored (and played with by my stepdad for the last year),tomorrow to fit them. Styledynamix haven't supplied any locking wheel nuts as the said they would, but I haven't been charged so I'll sort em out myself. My question is, is it possible to buy short locking wheel nuts, I've been told that because of the adapters, standard ones won't fit? Cheers,
