  1. Where can you buy the correct plates? Coilovers are 2nd hand thats why they didn't have the nuts/plates Thanks Adam
  2. Cheers, thought i was nearly there then the metal collars and 2 nuts are to small!! Oh the joys! AJ
  3. Just been doing the coilovers on the rear of the VR, thought the bolts and collars would be interchangable but no! Where do you get nuts and the other bits to finish the top of the rears off? AJ
  4. Think your right about the seats but it will/does make it hell of a lot easier, plus they take about 1 minute each to remove. As for the dash in again heard its possible but in someways you will be making hard work for yourself, i would definitley take the dash out, just my experience, AJ
  5. You need some space for seats and trim thats all and a dash, i put alot of it on the back seats and boot except the Recaros and dash, they went in the house!
  6. Honestly pretty easy, you need space and time really thats all, AJ
  7. Only having a giggle bud, as i said i needed an idiots guide as i have never done a coolant drain and refill so yes i am a daft b@stard! I can however take a screw out a plastic cover without the need to ring a garage to do it. Alvin Jeramiah

  10. Well started the car, topping it up slowly everything seemed to be going well. Car got to around 95-100 degrees water, 80 oil top and bottom rad hoses were both hot, then the coolant just went crazy and boiled over everywhere? Done it twice now. What am i doing wrong?
  11. Aux water pump fitted, now coolant top up and done!
  12. So do i start the engine then start filling up? Ta AJ
  13. Thanks for the info lads, might get to drive my car this weekend now!
  14. To filling coolant up on a VR6 after doing the Heater Matrix. How much coolant/water do you use and how do you go about it, surely its not just open the top and fill it up? I will be using G12 from VW is that right (says G11 on the cap)? Thanks AJ
  15. Got some today, around the £14 mark each, not bad really, AJ
  16. Refitted heater matrix and dash, only seats left to do now, AJ

  18. Dont let it get to you, i've always been the same wanting everything sorted right away and gets me down when i cant, so now i just look into it as something long term. Find the most important thing and start there first once thats done, its done! Then move onto the next one, long process but eveything cant be done all at once. Hope this helps, there great cars once running spot on Adam
  19. And a front one is £65.50 +VAT from Parkway VW, picking one up tomorrow AJ
  20. There should be a tab at the base which you push then it will just slide off, it is fiddly AJ
  21. That looks really really good, even liking the VR rims!
  22. Took the whole dash out, heater box and matrix today also took the plastic mouldings off from the bottom off the windscreen, 17 years of crap from under there and around the fan motor blower, much better!
