Jim Bowen replied to StueyB's topic in Members Gallery
good mods :D i've just got a magnex too, i take it thats the famous rear bracket? interested in those engine/gearbox mounts, am sure mine need doing, are they hard to fit? -
535253139 CLIP = £9.79 +vat i bought some last week for my new exhaust
-
looks a great one to start with, very nice. looking forward to seeing the progress, missed it all the last time round
-
engines do use oil, if its not causing any major problems except needing topping up i wouldn't be too concerned. i'm always weary of stuff in bottles
-
you have to line them up properly iirc one tab or slot is slightly wider than the others
-
maybe you are burning oil? notice anything from the exhaust? or does it smell a bit strange '
-
love the colour and the wheels. just need some rear lights to finish it ;)
-
i took mine off as it was rattling, plus it gives you a bit of extra ground clearance without it
-
just got round to fixing this, it was just the fuse. i hate looking around that fuse box, such a messy bundle of wires.

HELP - fuel leak from rear und & searching not helping......
Jim Bowen replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in Engine Bay
got the corrado out lastnight, after i've done the filter and it was leaking fuel. got under with a torch while it was leaking and it was the pipe from fuel tank to filter. it was all wet where it meets the filter and dripping from there. I think it has to be the clip -
just got the new aux water pump fitted and took car for a spin as its been sat in garage for a while. not far up the road and like a fool i kerbed one of my newly refurbed wheels :( really have kerbed it badly :gag: :gag:

HELP - fuel leak from rear und & searching not helping......
Jim Bowen replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in Engine Bay
if your taking the clips off to change, then it will take seconds to put a new filter in, and they are cheap, so i would. i only changed the filter as i wanted to check out the pipes etc -

what sort of clips does everyone use? do you get them from the dealers? -
we should be encouraging members to bump up the prices of their corrados for sale...............not shooting them down  if we all asked £9k then to get a corrado, you would have to pay it

HELP - fuel leak from rear und & searching not helping......
Jim Bowen replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in Engine Bay
i have the exact same problem and have heard others mention it? its really odd, i've changed the filter last week and have yet to see if it makes a difference. The leak is so on and off, i.e: not occuring every time, its hard to find out whats causing it. none of my pipes seems perished, but the little clips that clamp them on didn't seem very tight and were pretty rusty and old looking -
