  1. i would like to see a version that protected your car, but had big rusty spikes on the side that hits their door
  2. Just thinking of solutions to the problem of people banging their doors into your car while in carparks and found this http://www.doordefender.com/howtoo.html What are peoples thoughts? I don't actually park the corrado many places now as i have the fiat, but when i take it to the local garage it gets parked in a busy carpark with lots of idiots. i think 90% of the dents on it are from this carpark
  3. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=82964 does that help at all?
  4. this came up recently, i'll see if i can find the thread
  5. i know what bit you mean from taking my front end off, but didn't take the rad support off, probably for the same reason, or i didn't need to. but i think yes, you would need to disconnect that pipework
  6. when i replaced mine i got this bit (from previous thread) i never fitted the external bit of cable, only the metal wire inside, looked too hard to feed the black casing through as well
  7. so thats the clip people talk about, i never quite knew exactly what people meant, i always assumed the shaped end on the cable snapped off.
  8. when i did mine, i took the lid off brake fluid reservoir put cling film over it and put lid back on. This helps to stop the fluid pouring out. When i disconnected the pipes i just wrapped them in cling film and put elastic bands over them. but mine was only like that for about 1 week
  9. its all part of the reason i wanted to be able to do this stuff myself, i know i have bad days at work and hate to think of someone having a bad day and working on my car
  10. thats high for the water temp, could be the water pump not pumping properly
  11. very high prices :!:! Most of the parts aren't too hard to fit. i've done all my suspension 3 times, rear axle bushes, top mounts, wishbones with a friends help. I'd never worked on a car before the corrado  but couldn't afford the bills so had to learn
  12. i think the black vinyl will look a bit pikey/cheap. i'd rather part with £100? ish to have the bonnet painted. how much is vinyl and glue and how long with it take, will it last very long?

    New Paint

i always thought if they used an oven you can do it straight away. don't alot of bodyshops, "mop" the car afterwards with an orbital polisher?
  14. omg, no one leaves a filter that long.....surely lol mine is done at least once a year
  15. seeing as you asked so nicely :salute: some things to think about
  16. bumpers, headlight, foglights, grill, bonnet, wings, interior quite a lot but all very subtle stuff.
  17. No chance of getting an S2 for 5k. I was looking at them as I think they are brill but they hold their price so well. With 5k I'd throw in the two Skodas, I own a Octavia VRS and its very practical, very reliable, and the dealers ( well Fish Brothers Swindon) are fantastic. With 500 pounds chip upgrade gives it some serious torque. Or the little Fabia VRS same quality but with the added advantage of MPG. if only they made a 3dr fabia, they would of sold so many more
  18. i run through this in my head most days, should i sell corrado, what would i get. the only answer i come up with is another corrado. Then i realise mine is just as good as what i would end up with on my budget. i'd definatly run two cars, has worked out cheaper in the long run then using the corrado everyday. Even adding both cars together + expenses its less than most people i know running 1 car
  19. A massive thanks to Daves16v for making me an exhaust bracket for my magnex, at such short notice he really has gone out of his way to help me.
  20. i'd keep an eye on it, i now have a habit of checking there each time i start car lol.
  21. ahhh, you already have the wheels 8) i didn't realise that. seems an odd thing to convert from 5 to 4 studs.
  22. i think its 14days from the date of offence, for them to issue a notice of intended prosicution. then 6 months from the date of that until they can charge you my brother went through that, and thought he had got off until the last day of the 6 months came and a fine arrived
  23. never seen this thread before. Car looks really nice, blue and cream is always a winner 8)
