  4. i wouldn't do handles and not have any rubstrips if you did handles i've have black rub strips or vice versa
  5. lmao @ sticking a corrado badge on the front bumper, whoever did that is blind :lol:
  6. looks super clean, the yellow ones really photograph well, shows the lines of corrado up nicely. what is the rear diffuser? not seen that before?
  7. could well be the pump has run out of puff!! its in the boot, behind the card covering drivers side rear wheel arch
  8. someone else has already claimed it :( i would hope it would just be the rear bushes, but am convienced its too thrashy and pulls all over the road alot, the front end seems knocky
  9. i didn't really know that at the time, keep reading different opinons on vag vs non-vag stuff, so just went with the vag bits at least my book of receipts looks good :lol:

So, was that a second mortgage on the house or selling a kidney? :shock: :shock: :shock: You'd be surprised to find out that a lot of the 'consumables' are actually made by the same companies whether they a genuine VAG or OEM/Pattern, but I guess that's the same with most things in life: Paying for the label. Looks like you won't have to worry about the front end for a few years now though! i spent about £1200 in all, and did most of the work with a mate :! :lol: thats includes the springs and shocks, two new tyres though something still isn't right tho :(
  11. i couldn't tell the difference it made, due to changing lots of suspension parts at once, had a leaking shock before that, so handling wasn't too good. plus i still found the steering a bit weird after doing all the bits, so took it off till i sort that.

  13. just some new pics i took, not much has changed but got it back on road today after 2 weeks of not having it
  14. not sure i want to spend much, car uses oil up and has already done alot of miles on various other oils, i don't think i'll get much benefit now from using a top grade oil
  15. what would be recommended for a VR6 with 160,000 miles, standard engine, uses quite a bit of oil is due a service soon so thinking of stocking up with oil and just sticking to one brand, rather than keep putting odd 2l bottles in

Fixed at last got the fusebox back out again and some of the connectors that fell out previously weren't quite pushed in on the bottom edge, they were sort of ski-wiff (sp) :lol: drove it to work today and all seems fine, just lost the light in the ashtray which i'm not too concerned about at the moment pretty happy now that i got it sorted on my own, (with the help of forum) will send some money to forum now
  19. sure can it was up for sale in the classifieds for a while but i forgot to bump the thread so its dropped off into the sea :! i wanted £95, and would prefer collection
  20. i have a weitec rear ARB sat in my garage, its for a 1995 VR also trying to sell it :) i had it on car for about 2weeks and took it off again due to having dodgy steering which i wanted to sort out first before upgrading/adding anything, so until steering is alright i may as well sell this one and buy another in the future
  21. should be some little covers in the bottom corners that cover screws, these just pry off. the plastic surround has two screw in the top side that faces down, they screw upwards, undo these and lift the surround out. Putting steering wheel right down helps when getting the actual clocks out, you will see a screw on the left and the right holding the whole unit it. tilt the top towards you and you shuold be able to reach around the back to unplug it, then it pulls out
