keeping obsolete service history / paperwork?
Jim Bowen replied to boost monkey's topic in General Car Chat
got any good receipes? mine always turns out a bit "papery" to the taste -
i've always thought having the clear bit on lights looks really crap, but that actually looks alright, not too cheap and nasty looking like they do normally a job well done
-
give the sensor inside car a blowie, see it that helps
-
mines done about 30,000miles in 18months :!
-
i agree too, great for the money, no fuss, no nonense. i find alot of stuff now is gimmicky packaging and more of money spinner than anything else, the car scene seems to be turning to clean, immaculate cars now, someone somewhere is making a fortune from car cleaning stuff

i had this after i drove through a lot of water one night, the next day it was all fine, so i guess it must off been water on a sensor?
-

just got car back from service and they pointed out that the headlights aren't right, not sure if this is to do with recent melting of headlight switch, but heres the problem. side lights, all work dipped beam, all work but when you put them onto full beam, the drivers side dipped beam goes out and the main doesn't come on, yet on the passenger side it works as it should, main beam comes on and dipped stays on with it

yeah the whole lense comes off from the front, put a screw driver or something inbetween the fog and indicator and prise the indicator towards you.
-

pipercross induction (pk223) or k&n panel filter
Jim Bowen replied to chrisnick333's topic in Engine Bay
i opted for original box with orignal filter, after comparing a K&N panel next to a paper filter, the paper one looked like it did a far better job of filtering, could see through the k&n for the measly difference in engine performance, i'd rather have the standard one and have better filtration i couldn't sleep at night with the k&n fitted so took it off :cuckoo: -
Do you get a warm feeling inside............
Jim Bowen replied to skinnyman9000's topic in General Car Chat
