  1. blimey, how old are you then? :! assumed you were late 20's
  2. its not snobbery, its just a shitty thing to do in some peoples eyes
  3. looks absolute crap. quite a good car, mainly for the fact you get a long warrenty
  4. are the headlights any better?
  5. wish i'd known that, already paid for VW one and gotta wait for it to come got wire out now seem to of found alot of bits not plugged in to anything
  6. hi welcome, the VRS is a good car i take it that remapped? how much torque? any pics?
  7. go to their website, download the form, fill it out, post it off with a check, wait a few weeks, check the mail.....ta daaaaa http://www.corradoclub.org/Documents/Ap ... ership.pdf
  8. i do believe your right, its mounted on the wheel arch
  9. it does it more than once on a journey, but not all the time, its strange, very slight niggle now as everything else as gone tits up on mine
  10. can you tell where its coming from? side of car? centre? front? etc
  11. just a quick question. are the looms to the headlight switch the same for all corrado variants or do i need a VR6 one? also does anyone know about how it has to be modified to meet the new standards?
  12. i did try back really can't get it to budge without the feeling something may break. just been to VW switch = £55 wiring = £88  refused to pay for the wiring so gotta find something else, i.e: 2nd hand
  13. does the forum have a database of costs of parts from VW, as i've spent a small fortune there now and have a collection of part numbers and prices building up, all useful am sure. so far i've got: (all for a 1995 VR) brake caliper rebuild kits touch up pen set wheel nuts wishbones track rods & ends top mounts bumpstops & covers ball joints headlight switch headlight wiring loom foglight would be worth making somewhere to organise it all
  14. i dont think i could split it in all honesty, seeing as its off the road at the mo i been driving the 306 again and it makes you realise how good the corrado is :D had a think about it lastnight and not sure i can find any other car for £4-5k that i'd like as much, their really isn't much out there unless you settle for a sporty hatchback :(
  15. nice, this is kinda what i did a while back. but reckon i missed some bits, think i'll get the rear bushes this time round, will wait to see how yours goes tho :)
  16. how does it drive? thats the main thing, i tend to ignore numbers, especially bhp from rolling roads, had you noticed 10bhp disappearing before you got it on rolling road whats saying it'll be a 5% better car with 215bhp?
  17. on the plus side i'm fully stocked up on stress relief wrappers now
  18. its weird how many wires i've come across that aren't plugged into anything?
  19. tried to get the bits of wiring out of car lastnight have now got the fuse box thing undone so its hanging in footwell, got the wiring from above dash to below it, but i can't get enough movement on the box to find where the loom is plugged in. didn't fancy undoing each plug, but i guess i have to?
  20. i do like having a to-do list, it makes the car more personnal if you've put the time and effort into it, something to be proud about. its more the funds than anything at the moment. i bought an old landrover last week and thats going to suck up some money
  21. i don't think it will get broken just yet, will have to see what future holds, everything seems to be wearing out on it at the mo and by the time i add on dodgy steering fix, maybe new rack and column, a bit of paint work, sorting the brakes out, engine is on 160,000 now . Just seems like a never ending list of things to do, then something else will break :( corrado prices seems at a low at the moment, when i was looking to buy there were only 26 on pistonheads, now its nearer 100 :!
  22. is it safe to find someone splitting a VR6, (does it have to be a 1995 VR the same as mine?) and buy the bit of wiring from them?
