  1. i've always been one, not to buy cheap stuff, i'd rather a £300 of shocks and springs, than a £300 set of coilovers. i paid £400 for shock n springs on a corsa  i thought decent setups on a corrado would start around £700?
  2. mine sits like a 4x4 so slightly less worried now
  3. must be a valver model  VR's seem quicker
  4. i would recommend the two cup method, then you have one for dunking without contiminating the other cup. wouldn't catch me using a biscuit anyway, can lead to serious crumb deposits, i only use a mermaids finger for dunking
  5. i gather everyone has their own technique, i usually customise the service to suit the clients preference. i know its just another mug, but the client like that one best out of his little collection (hence the viper stripes), he let me move some around too :! oooo the sound, was crapping myself
  6. i just painted over mine with a matt black paint from a model shop, them little humbrol pots
  7. what do your female friend think of the car? i don't think i know 1 lady that even knows what mine is infact i don't know many ladies full stop tbh
  8. This morning it had been arranged for me to travel down to dorset to detail this cup with tea, the owner use's this cup at weekends as a bit of a garden table toy. Arrived at 7am First i filled the kettle with 0ppm RO water, while the kettle was boiling i concentrated on the teapot device in which i'd carry out all my mixing, i used the one teapot method and warmed it up with a microwave. 800w for 1min on full power, i just did the one pass, as the microwave is of the orbital variety With the kettle now fully boiled, i prepared the teapot with a spoon of loose tea, i use the full caffine stuff which i buy in bulk, you could try out some tea bags. Once the tea was applied to the internals of the teapot i then applied the boiling water straight from the kettle. I find it best to give the tea and water mixture a quick stir, this helps to start the reaction Leave both products in the pot while they infuse and create the dark brown colour we are looking for, its worth noting that this can be done in direct sunlight, but do not allow products to dry to a haze. Next i use a milk solution (semi-skimmed & pasteurised) i buy this in 5 gallon vats due to me being in the trade. I apply that directly to the base of cup, then immediatley apply the mixture from teapot, i strain mine as to avoid any swirling or contaminents in the cup. Sugar is optional, this client requested i apply a teaspoon of sugar, which he supplied, he had bought it the year before but not yet had the time to try it out himself. AFTER PIC this really doesn't do the cup justice, but the customer was over the moon and thought it was a new cup, due to it being empty before. I shall be going back early next month to detail his coffee mug and cereal bowl. **this isn't aimed at anyone, or taking the mickey, just a bit of silly fun**

  14. exactly, show me that vxr astra once they have been around for 12-15yrs
  15. thats what i don't get, its a brand new car to start with  if it was a mk1 astra i'd be impressed and appreciate it alot more, but i don't think the results have "improved" that car more than say jedi-knight from here could of done for a tenth of the cost. its like dusting a tv the same day you get it out of box

    what mpg?

G60 i can understand using more fuel as its a small engine burning more fuel to get the performance, whereas a VR just using lots because its so big i would of thought the 16v should get alot better mpg than the others, 22mpg seems rubbish, just get a VR
  17. the gaitor is pressed into a little bronze coloured ring, the plastic bit of gearknob slides thru centre of that and then the circlip clips on, holding the gaitor up
  18. similar type of water to what you use with hydroponics Just goes through an omosis machine
  19. or did you mean, its jason dawe on this used car roadshow
  20. i'll have a go at designing some kinda page layout if i get some time, just to get some ideas what people want and don't want i'm not amazingly good at this kinda thing, but i prefer the simple uncluttered look, also would cost less to print i imagine
  21. what did it cost? £5k or something i'm told to get a car to showroom finish, when its only just come out of showroom he should just let vaux unload it and valet it like they would of anyway, to fix any transit damage. its very anal, no one really cares but the internet, probably why he did it, valeting is so popular on the net nowadays he just wanted to have the biggest boast imo have you seen the interiors of the astra vxr? awful and cheap, its like a £60 goodmans hifi in the dash, no doubt the performance is a bit better than a car designed 12+ yrs ago, not sure it has much style
  22. very nice 8) what profile are those tyres tho?
