  1. HI, bit of an old thread, but i just noticed that this car is the same one thats in the VW book i bought the other day, some nice shots of it in there
  2. Vw actually made a twin engined scirocco or two, not sure they sold them tho
  3. i noticed that, book is from 1991, so no mention of the VR6 at all (from what i've flicked thru so far) talks about the 4WS and spoiler tho and some pretty pictures why has the corrado on the cover got no side repeaters tho?
  4. thanks very much, i couldn't see what was wrong with the one currentely in car, so i just bought that one.
  5. anyone else got this book? i just got a copy of it, looks alright to me, only had a quick flick thru it but i spotted a bit about corrado estate gonna have a proper read later
  6. everything moves alright to me, is there a way of reinforcing the bit that breaks? i recall someone saying its a piece of plastic that cracks and allows the cable to move? anyone know what bit that is? do i drill the rivets out? i did wonder what they were
  7. omg thats stunning, another of my favourite cars!!!
  8. do you know how much money you will get back from insurance?
  9. i'm back on this subject again. I've still not sorted this problem, mainly because its been so dry and i've not worried about it, but now the rain is here its causing me greif i bought this bit, and just wondered if anyone can tell from looking if its suitable or not? Which is the bit that breaks and causes the fault?
  10. oviously another crunchy nut imo

i like the bugs bunny tooth :!
  16. found this while searching = fab info, i was just needing to find out what the kit pictured is http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... d&start=15 @Dinkus, no i don't have an uprated loom, just the one that came with car (i assumed its standard), The guy i bought car from seemed to like his VW's but didn't know much about the little problems with corrados i'll check nothing has melted, i just have the halfords super brilliance, came in a gold box :! = must be special
  17. i did just buy some bulbs from halfords that were meant to be good, they even claim to be "super" :! yet superman is amazing, he is a "super" man, i would expect a "super" bulb to be equally as amazing, when in reality they are just ok i think i'll give the HID a miss, although is the refraction much different to a normal bulb? I would of thought the light is gonna act the same but be brighter?
  18. i might petition against silly petitions
  19. Complete kit with all the ballasts, the relay and wiring. It's an H4 Hi/Low fitment, so for cars where a single headlamp bulb is used for both dipped (low) beam and full (high) beam. The kit is a direct fit for H4 bulb headlamps: Remove your halogen bulbs and fit the HID bulbs - you may need to widen the rubber dust cap behind the headlamp to allow the HID wiring through.[/*:m:c8b74] Locate the HID ballasts (one per bulb) in the engine bay and secure with either sticky pads or the supplied brackets[/*:m:c8b74] Locate the relay (needed for the hi/low function) and attach the positive cable to the battery and earth the negative cable to the chassis/engine block[/*:m:c8b74] Plug all the parts together and turn the lights on![/*:m:c8b74] This kit uses a moving reflector to switch between the two beam patterns and not an old Halogen bulb to do the high beam function (which is what my Corsa kit did and was crap on high beam). The kit in my Corsa took me 30 mins to fit and that included removing the headlamps." Is this any good for a corrado? will it improve things? i really know feck all about these things? Many thanks
  20. i've signed it, just because it'll be funny when it has loads of votes
  21. looks very tidy, a fab colour to have i have an identical dent in my door too
  22. i bought alloys once which turned out to off been in a crash, think on was buckled and the other had a flat bit in it
  23. mine has similar probs but only when cold and for the first couple of miles, goes away quite quickly and drives fine i know my coilpack or leads are a bit dodgy as when they get wet they spark where they shouldn't
  24. i'd actually rather drive the cav with stick on vinyl tbh
