Mine was making a NASTY noise the other week i thought it was the chain but it turned out to be the water pump.

People look at the shape and think......hur? what is that? or there are the people that think I always wanted one of those. Then you get the tw@ts in thier Scoobies that want to race anythink with alloys.

Some sweet driving, rear wheel drive is the only way to go. I love the bit in the bigging where it said something in Swedish and then in English "is the sh1t!" Volvo make some good engines! -
Only 300hp from the engine? Why not more? Surely the engine is capable of much more. I still wanna go when one comes out!
-
gradeAfailure, this man has a dam good point! it happened on the other half's Golf, fixed the problem strate up and was easy to do. about £30 in all including the coolant i think! Dont worry, but if it is the Head-Gasket then do worry and turn to alcohol
-
Needs a new water pump! then they can do the test, the sound of the pump was scaring me on the drive in, i though the engine was going to die! oh well that is another £150 thrown at it
-
Our VR is of to the MOT people today! Hope it passes. Does the fact that it burns oil and the probe is not working effect the emissions at all if it does then we may be ducked! Fingers crossed

I think it was something cleaver about road tax laws in Europe or Germany, something like that. It was cheeper to have a 2.9 intead of a 3.0. I may be wrong. ( I am most of the time)

That was sweet! Sounded good too even throught lap-top speakers

Not_Aircooled_or_Taxfree replied to corradoyouknow's topic in General Car Chat
Get the VR6 dude, they sound much better when gunning it! But they do drink alot. Look out for ones with head rebuilts and chain replacement around 100k 140k that is when they start to go and cost alot to fix. Mine i think is going. -
woohoo i dont have to surrender my license

Hello! Both of my rear wheel bearings have decided to die on me (3-4mm travel through the wheel and alot of noise) so I am off to get some more from GSF. But before I do I am wondering about the fact that BOTH bearings have gone at the same time, is it symptomatic of another problem? And would this problem ruin the new bearings in a short period of time? I was told to look at the rear break callipers (thanks Yanards) to see if they were binding, but is this all I should be checking or is there something else like evil dwarfs or bad spirits that could be the problem? I have run a search but nothing has been said about simultaneous bearing failure. Ta! PS Is it only the wheel bearing kit I need to do the job and are there any special tools needed?Hello! Can I dye a grey parcel shelf into a black shelf ...?
Not_Aircooled_or_Taxfree replied to LJ's topic in Interior
I made a crappy shelf for my Polo years ago with blue carpet tiles and MDF. I sprayed them with some mat black spray paint and it looked fine. -
That is too smart!

Nothing wrong with them, but they comand a bit or respect tho! Stupid French cars what happened to the stupid "Nichole-Papa?" adverts? then it went to Henery going on about Va-Va-Voom! and now they are trying to tell us that the Clio is English :nono: What is happening to the world?
