If they function as good as they look then that's a cracking result mate, good work!
-
Cheers Furkz, Greeny - If I had kept them you'd still be PM'ing me trying to buy them lol!!!!

Nice rims mate, a set of those with black centres sold on the bay (and edition 38 ) a few weeks back - only the second set I've seen though! Shoudl look great!
-
Offset is really high (vauxhall offset?) but that's easily cured with some spacers, I know ET 40 will fit without fouling, and my mate was running ET20 7x15's on his G60 with no problems so you should be OK, and if you have any probs you'll just have to space em out a bit!

Saw that on E38 mate, those estorils don't look half as good as the keskins but they do emphasise how low your actually running - quality!

Cheers guys, but today I bought a set of 16"s Car is currently lowered 60mm but I think I'll have to knock another 20mm off that before I'll get the look I'm after!

I'm thinking this might be the way to go, but I'd like some pics for inspiration! Post 'em up!

With a car as heavily modified as that one the insurers are definately going to want to see proof of security, working in insurance myself I doubt they'll be happy to continue cover on the basis that the system is factory fitted to the engine/loom/ignition etc. I'd be down to VW to see if they could help! Failing that you could always ask Jay who he was insured with and if they needed proof , or if he sent them anything.

CorradoDriver - have a look here - http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/Tinting_Rear_Lights Polish and cut is the same thing really, cut refers to a 'cutting' compound that contains abrasives and other chemicals that remove a tiny amount of surface from the lacquer and give a nice shiny finish - many cutting compounds are commonly referred to as polishes. As far as reversing the process, if you sand off the lacquer you've applied you should be able to remove the tint sparay with thinners - I've seen this done in the past with no harm to the lights.

Just picked up my first C (G-plate valver) and I'm looking to change the wheels for something a touch fatter! Ideally I'd like to go around 7.5 or 8x15 on the front and 8 or 9x15 (16"s in these widths are also a possibility) Car is currently 60mm lower but I'm hoping to get a further drop in ride height to get the stance I'm after (80mm sounds about right) How much work will I have to do to the arches? will rolling (folding the outer lips up) be enough or will I have to flare them too? Also, what's the minimum offset youcan go to on a 7X15 with 45 profiles without fouling the arches?? Cheers!! Will

Jedi - awesome work there mate, especially on the porker! I've been trying to really get into detailing but it will be a good while yet until I can wield a rotary and get those kind of results!!! 8)

Lovely G mate, I know it well, glad it's gone to someone who will have it up to show standard in no time! (pretty much there on those new rims!)

Forget the 'technology' involved for a sec and the price....Even if it was good would anyone here admit to having a 'TURBONATOR' equipped car??? With a name like that it's bound to be a load of manure!

I stepped up from a Golf MK2 driver to a Golf MK2 GTI 8v, to a Golf MK2 GTI 8v.. anyone noticing a trend emerging? Looks like i'll be stepping down into a Fiesta Zetec for a few months, but like Mr T says, you gotta have a setback before you can have a comeback!!

I think everyone who has slated this car is traditional and unadventurous when it comes to styling a Corrado. And I also think you're DAMN RIGHT!!!!! I'm not gonna comment on the guys 'taste' or otherwise, 'cos it's his car, so he can do as he pleases - but I will say that buying a car which has timelessly fluid lines then promptly fucking them all over with filler doesn't seem like a great idea to me.

500 good english pounds? BARGATRON!!!!! Good work mate, she looks nice, got loads of potential...

Corradowales - I'm always between Cardiff and the valleys so if you use the A470 or M4 you might have seen me! Bally - Hiya mate, 'tis me.

chrishills silver vr6 - the wheels are on!
Slangwerks replied to chrishill's topic in Members Gallery
I didn't think those wheels would have worked on a silver car. Wrong!!!!! Looks awesome, amazing the difference a set of rims can make! -
Sweet VR - pretty much perfect by the looks of it!

Reason number 4567 for wanting a corrado - they look better on keskin's than golfs do!! Very sweet motor mate, good work!
