I usually do pick up the phone when I am driving but put it on to speaker phone straightaway and then keep my hands where they would normally be if I was driving without a mobile phone, still works fine and they still hear what you are saying, but you still have both of your hands available. But yeh, I see people blatantly talking on the phone as if being caught by the police doesnt bother them in the slightest, those people that are not bothered are the people I wish get caught the most.

I just kerbed my front left too.... so I know exactly how you are feeling, gonna try and get mine fixed tomorrow, hopefully get back on Friday :(

I use Bell Direct for my VR6 Storm. Got it insured as a second car, 6k miles a year, I'm 23 with 0 years NCB and it comes to £940 a year.

That second avatar, could you not make it so that the spoiler starts to rise exactly from the it's resting position, let it rise fully and then wait a second or so before it cycles back round?

Oh no, I want to keep this Storm standard, retain it's original value, I'm funny like that so don't make fun :-P But I was just curious, and always lookin to learn :) Hopefully when I have the money I may think of a project car :wink:

So I am assuming that most people with a supercharger fitted to their VR will have that problem unless they make other adjustments? Has anyone gone to the lengths to make sure that there is no weak link?

Right, I know a lot of people have shoved a s/c on their VRs, I was just wondering, how does it cope with it being a FWD car and all that power? How much power do you typically put out with a supercharged VR? How does that affect torque-steer and what about all this "max power 220-240bhp for fwd malarky" stuff?

I think today they are finally starting to bite, hopefully they will get better but they already are better than what they were. But yeh, you're probably right about them taking longer.

No, standard discs for me too, I only changed the front pads and changed the brake fluid. Hopefully they will start to bite nicely not too long from now.
