Hi All, This is a really easy one, but I cannot get my brain into gear this morning!! My engine is making a "ticking noise" which increses and decreases with the revs, its not the notorious tappet noise, its the sound an engine would normally make when the timing it out. With this being a VR6 engine would I be on the right lines? Thanks 8)

Yeah, Saw the post @ machine polish, thats what made me post this, however, he states the general leeds area, and I'm a bit further up north, Middlesbrough to be exact, so don't think they will come my way!!

Hi All I'm thinking of de-badging my VR6 completely as I keep getting my VR6 badge nicked (4 times) and my VW badges (3 times front, 4 times rear) I know the obvious mod for the front is a de-badged grill, but what about the rear, any ideas, pics? Thanks

Just filled up with 99 Ron petrol....it was from Tesco's for only 85.9p Don't know if I'm asking for trouble, but what a difference! My C now seems to now run smoother and quieter, also seems to accelerate quicker throu' the lower revs. It might just be me looking for a change, or maybe its happened?? Anyways, if the Tesco's stuff it that good anybody know what Shell Optimax is like?

Morning all, Here we go then..... I've got a L reg VR6 with 92000 on the clock, and I've got a few questions that I need help with please. First one, I know on most VW's the cam belt gets changed at@80000 miles is this also the case for the Corrado's? I've heard that with the VR6's the belts need changing at @60000. Secondly, when accelerating, either hard or soft, most of the time after I've taken my foot off the gas to change gear, my revs shoot up for @ a second before settling down again. I have no idea whats causing this. I've had things checked like the lamda sensor and its ok ( not sure if its gor anything to do with it or not though) Third one, sometimes when moving off, I can fell a "Grating" sensation on my gas pedal, again, no idea whats causing this. Lastly, when starting up from cold, I can sometome hear a sound from the engine that sounds like tappets knocking, however after @5 mins its fine, is this normal? Answers to any of these would be greatly appreciated Many Thanks

Sorry to hear about the dead/dying Corrado's Recently revived mine after blowing the engine, and have so far spent over 2 grand to get it up and running. The only way its leaving the road is with me stuck inside it.Permenantly. -
I Love my C more than my missus, I've already spent a few nights in the garage!! I can never help myself either when driving past shopt that give off reflections and feel "warm inside"

Mothercare do a special seat covering/pad to protect seats from the car seat base. I've stuck my mrs in the back and my 2yr old in the passenger seat, he thinks that's great fun  Britax Eclipse we have fits perfectly into my cloth front seat, don't know about ISO clips though, do you mean ISOFIX?, only new VW's have fittings for these. David. Yep Sorry, ISOFIX.....can these be fitted into a C in any way?
