  5. this has been done... a few years ago I lent my badge out to be copied by Trimsport... the copies are fab & the only way to tell is when they are off the car. Awsome GTI also sell them. Stick it on with a bit of blue tac, take a pic & see what you think... its your car dude!!

  7. so if i get a new key + transponder does anyone know how to match it to the car?? Its looking like a clifford fob will cost me £50 and is easy enough to code..... not too bad really. Again thanks for the input.... thats what she said - ba booooom!! :clap: yeah... im off

  12. I'd be very keen see them buddy..... ill do some research in mean time. I know that different generations of Clifford fobs don't mix or least did not last time I enquired.

Sneeky change of thread title may attract more help..... cheers for that idea Fuzz 8) now....... hello!! right so situation: 1 set of keys lost, me & pappa M have discussed in detail as to where these could have been lost but to no avail. So my question to you now good people is: a) how do I most cheaply aquire a key for my C - inc. chip for immobiliser b) where to purchase a clifford fob to be "homed" to my car. BY THE WAY i LOVE YOU ALL etc :clap:

  17. thats what the old one was..... TBH I dont know what make the one I have on there now is but its done well. Was sat in the snow for 2 weeks then another 3 in up to -10 conditions. Fitted it to the C & bam loads a juice!!
  18. UPDATE - Finally found the extension for my socket set & been up to see my poor cold girl at lunchtime to remove the dud battery. Borrowed a temp battery from a mate that I can keep for winter. Fitted & ...................... 1 turn of the key & bam she is running. Happy Christopher 8)
