have heard of a ecu reset procedure after changing a battery.anyone know what this is or what you have to do?
-
not that i know of unless there's one in the depths of the shed but would take half a day to find.

i'll have a poke in the handbook.they should have them listed in the car like on my Polo where there listed on the fuse tray thing quite useful that.

nothing was clicking it at all early, turn the key ignition starts.the fans will run if on,then turn fully to start engine the engine temp light flashed for a milli second once then nothing. fuses hmm? got a little spark swaping headunit over early could of been an ignition wire poss? do these run behind the headunit with other bundle of wires back there?
-
will do, dont think they are siezed well not fully as it will hold on a slight incline/decline and you can feel the car 'jack up' when you put the handbrake on. my drive does have a decent slope though as my old mans volvo found out when it rolled back into the garage door before. as for the wiring i'll just have to break my back getting the trim out again.

right my 1.8 16v wont start it just clicks and nothing.battery is new and all the windows, sunroof work fine, new battery a problem? or i just fitted an amp so is it poss i knocked one of the ignition wires out? also my handbrake wont hold on my driveway at all had to leave car in 1st. have tightened the cable so is this probably worn shoes?

ok these bloody speakers.which is the best way to get the wires into the door.do they feed through the hinge then into the dash?
-
thought it was strange myself might remove door card tomorrow see if there hidden somewhere. if not can you split the wiring off the dash speakers then?
-
My 1.8 16v 1990 dosent come with door speakers and after taking away the grills cant see any wiring. is it possible to disconnect the rears and re run the wire to the doors is so how complicated is this?

how often should the cambelt be changed? i've got a 1.8 16v bought it last week. was wondering whether i should change it straight away or should it be ok?
-
i've already got a modded mdf board holding 6x9s so just gotta screw it to the Corrado shelf. Dont think i've got the wires in the doors for door speakers.this common and how easy to resolve

Got my Corrado this morn it has a Sony xrc5100r headunit and 10 disc changer, running on standard dash and rear 6x4's. my Polo (which is for sale..shameless plug) has a Sony CDX S2200 headunit driving the standard tweeters and Sony 3way coaxial door speakers. HU is aslo connected upto a Sony amp which powers a set of JBL 6x9's in the rear shelf. what i want to know is if it better to keep the bits in the Corrado as they are but get door speakers in (is this poss whith the xr HU) or switch everything over from the Polo apart from dash speakers then just put the 10 disc changer in the Polo when selling it?

those were the figures i found using rochfordtyres. so if i go through a 30mph with speedo showing 30pmh i'm actually doing 27ish mph? correct? which means i can use my old rims...result! you Corrado people are helpful arent you?
-
yeah i remember trying to use when when getting rims for my polo.put it in my favourites then deleted...bit dull now seen as i need it.
-
faster accelerations good. how much would the speedo be out or in simple laymans language with 195/45 what speed will my speedo show when im supposed to be doing 30mph.and no funny answers like 30mph.

Bought a 1.8 16v Corrado this morn. it comes totally standard with 195/50/15 profile tyres on however if i was to put my 15's from my mk4 polo which are 15x6.5 with 195/45/15 tyres on how much would it affect gearing and speedo would it read fast or slow? Reason i want to use my older alloys is cause well i really like them compared to standard Corrado ones. Opinions please?
