i got this alarm and my siren was knackered,local toad dealer put a new one in and bonnet sensor for £75. mine had fallen out of its bracket and been sitting on the driveshaft.so prob why it was broke.

i got a mate who is half tidy but aint got stuff to do skimming if needed.

head gasket has gone, was a pressure problem.anyone ideas on how much likely gonna be.mate reckoned £140 on parts then 3-4hrs labour in a garage to do it.

changed matrix y'day,heater works fine now, though coming home today coolant light came on and when i checked the footwell when i got home it was damp and underside of whole heater/fan unit was damp.matrix couldnt have gone in a day so is this a leak from somewhere else in the system???? beginning to piss me off now :x

think it was LHD. ordered them from vag parts.told them it was rhd and needed the different pedals and they just sorted it all for me. :D

my accelerator pedal went on then slipped off 4months later so put it back on with a dab of glue just to make sure.

yeah gas pedal needs abit of love to get it to fit rest go on easy. managed to find my old accel pedal rubber the other day.apparently these are rare!!!! all it is,is a piece of crappy plastic with 2 grooves that slides over the pedal.worth 2p imo.

does that mean i buy? its not going to cost me much either. not sure on what engine code i got though. car is a 1.8 16v. where do i find the code is it on the sticker with paint code or sticker with chassis number?

all fixed :D but discovered my heater matrix has shot its bolt :x its gonna be a cold winter. :(

What would think if you were offered this????....... ........This is a modified exhaust cam taken from a VW 16v KR cylinder head, i bought it to fit to my mk2 Golf 16v but no longer need it as i have a set of Kent Cams instead. This exhaust cam has been modified so it can be used as an inlet cam on either the 1.8l (KR) or 2l (9A) cylinder heads. The standard 2l inlet cam gives 8.9mm lift, the KR cam 9.6mm lift, but the exhaust cam gives 10.2mm lift!! I am informed this mod works better on the 1.8 (KR) but then I see no reason why it wouldn't work well on the 2l also, that said I am selling a straight KR inlet cam for those 2l 9A owners who want a simple bhp boost! Basically the exhaust cam has been cut down beyond the last lobe, and the timing mark re-cut. There are guys who remove the cam sprocket, recut the woodruff key groove and then re-press the cam sprocket back onto the cam so the timing marks are the same. However I have done it without this and was surprised at the 10 - 15bhp difference it makes, and confirm it works very well on it's own!! To help those non mechy types I also have access to a 'how to' guide which can be posted/ emailed that was produced by forums who developed this mod. The cam is in good nick, with no chips, marks, scratches or other deformities to the lobes. Notwithstanding this, no warranty or guarantee is implied nor given. :?: :?:

i'll have a poke about in bentley manual for oil sensors then. cant be oil level as only had oil change a few weeks ago.

my warning light is coming on now and again. is this for lack off oil (which would be wrong as had oil change 3 weeks ago) oil pressure (if so whats cost to fix this) or oil temp (which cant be right as gauge shows 90-110 and mfa shows similar) did come on once or twice before when temp was at 118+ tho.

my first car was a dub so was kinda hooked on em straight away,mate in work had a vr6 too and loved the shape and look, more importantly it was different and rare so stood out and it had that meaty presence about it.love the looks it gets plus having to explain to someone what a Corrado is when the ask what car you drive.had a hunt about and went for a valver mainly due to insurance, fast enough for me and at the end of the day is a Corrado. :D

thats such a mess.its been raped so much you couldnt tell it was a C at a glance which kind of devalues the hole point of buying a corrado if all you want to do is turn it into a batmobile

had the car in garage to day but when the mechanic jacked it up nothing happened then after a while after a sharp slight drop in height on the jack the lights started (anti jack alarm i suppose) but no alarm noise. :? is this normal. was thinking of going to see what settings its on as the car already came with it so not sure on how it was setup.

might be a custom job but dosent belong to any clubs or go to any shows.

just got back from gatwick 180 miles and got 36.7mpg going there and 34.5 coming home think my foot was abit heavy and tired on way back. best i ever had was 41.6mpg that was short shifting and doing 60 down the motorway. overall average though is 26mpg.
