Does anyone know if VW dealers can supply shims or if its possible to "bodge" it by making up home made shims from thin gauge sheet metal?

Hey guys its time to change the rear tyres on my C (205/40/16 on 16x 9" wheels) and i'm having difficulty getting the same brand (federal). I couldn't find any info in the search so thought i'd try here. Does anyone know of any other makers tyre which fit those size rims or will i simply have to go up a size? Yokohama Paradas don't fit by the way as i tried them today.

Does anyone know of a place in Scotland that can set up camber and toe for the rear of a C as mine looks like its a bit out on the nearside rear. Surely VW would only aet it to factory and charge the earth? I'd like to get it set quite neg for handling purposes.

Is there a definitive thread on the issue of a modded G60 vs VR6? It would be interesting to see the difference.

Neither the Vauxhall XE "red top" engine or the turbo version had anything to do with Cosworth although it is regarded as a rather good lump. Go out and smoke the chav Neil L!

My drivers side driveshaft on my G60 is of a much greater diameter than the passenger side one and the drivers side one also shows signs of rubbing on the underbody of the car. I'll measure both diameters when i get the car back but just wondered if this is unusual or not?

Thanks for the advice guys, i ran it down and stuck some regular unleaded in it and it seems a bit slower maybe just psychological though. You rolling a VR yet dangerous dave?

Damn there goes my plan for getting 50mpg! Seriously though is it ok to run on normal unleaded or do you lose power?

I tried a search for this but to no avail, which fuel is best to use on a Corrado G60? Is it a case of the higher the RON the better or is it quite happy to run on regular unleaded?

Does anyone know where i can get a hold of some half smoke/half red rear lights? They seem to be pretty rare compared to the half clear jobs.

Hi i'm hopefully about to take delivery of a Corrado G60 :D , i just wondered if there are any special procedures for warming the engine up after starting and letting it cool down when about to turn off?
