i've just swapped my early grey shell for a late black one and the only bit thats left to do is the air vent surround at the passenger side. I can't find a stubby driver small enough to fit inside, am looking for a small socket set with screw bits. What did you guys do?

Henny, i got a mate who works in a sheet metal factory to surface grind a bunch of washers down to different thickness's and tried out different combinations between the stub axle and the axle beam. Got it pretty matched to the other side by eye then back on the laser and its within tolerance! Just a hell of a lot of trail and error but beats a new axle eh?

Double conversation eh walesy! We should really condense...

So you reckon the ideal opening temp would be about 80ish? What cooler did you use?

The mk2 golf ones definitly do work when you swap the resistor pack as i just put a Mk2 GTI one in mine, prob just about as bad condition though being so old.

Just removed my rear wiper and motor and was kind of stuck for a bung to fill the hole that was left inthe tailgate, i noticed the tailgate has two rubber bungs in either bottom corner on the inside and tried one in the tailgate hole. fits perfectly after a good squeeze in and is an original Corrado part! Also got a Seat Cordoba rear window/mirror demister switch which works a treat in the early style dash. Might be handy tips for someone....

I'm going to replace the supercharger outlet and boost pipes on my g60 and when i saw the outlet on the muffler box i noticed a three spoked metal thing inside it. Is it possible to get more flow by removing this or is it doing something important?

Is it possible to replace an early dash shell with a late one but retain all of the early switches and controls?

For anyone in/near central Scotland - MRD audio in Bathgate (near edinburgh) (01506) 630575 for all your ICE needs and they sorted my insane clifford cat 1 and replaced it with a lovely Sigma, can't recommend them enough.

With regards to the camber problem on 4x4 C's, is it not possible to shim the stub axles out to push the wheel back in line? I did this to correct too much neg camber on my nearside rear wheel.

Has anyone got experience of fitting a push button starter to a Corrado? I quite fancy one to replace my cigarette lighter but not sure how much hassle/costis involved.

Thanks for the advice guys, 225s would be far too wide unfortunatly as the 205s catch the arch and they've been cut back (pretty low though). I ended up getting 205/45/16 Federal 595s which fill the wheel a lot more than the 40 profiles. Federals seem to be one of the only tires to accept such a stretch owing to their large rim protectors. Will post photos asap.
