Is is "proper bo, I tell thee" You may even make my wall ;) I REALLY want to see your car in the flesh now. -
Dunno, there seems to be a fair bit of interest tho.
-
Not until after I bought it tho
-
Hmmm a wuss-out clause provided by DutchVR6 :)
-
Aye, but I have no access to welding equipment, I'm going to have to get a load of tools to do this as well. Guess this is the way to learn how to install an engine. I somehow envisage my C being off the road for a long long time.

What have I let myself in for :?
-
I was just gonna file/sand it, is it worth using Kurust as well?
-
I was going to Dremel it! Is it worth fiddling with my final drive when I'm down there?
-
Well I guess it was being a bit too hopeful that it would just be THAT easy. Oh well, I've bought it now, so I'll have a go at fitting it myself.
-
Other thing I wanted to ask is does the VR exhaust marry up to the 24v, ie am I going to need a new exhaust manifold, and I've heard there are problems with the clearance of the heat shield.
-
I guess he means british cars vs foreign?
-
You need a 24v ECU, with the key and gubbins that goes with it.
-
Or the salesman to stand behind you...
-
I think I'm OK Mr Wales, just a tiny bubble, will sand and spray myself as I will be going for respray at some point.
-
So I can just pull the rubber bit off round my rear window and it'll go back in easy? I've got a bit of rust developing under the rubber I want to get sorted ASAP.
-
Normally me engine sit's at 94. If I'm going out for a bit of fun it hits 104. On the motorway it was hitting 98-100. Why am I getting rid of this engine?
-
But not much above there
-
I can get above 100 if I try really hard ;)
-
I may have one for sale in a couple of months BTW ;)

Looks feckin awesome mate, Haven't had a read yet, but cover and centrefold in PVW is brilliant. -
Think it was about £290 - with fitting.
-
Stealth's cooler is way more then that Henny, I can't remember of the top of my head, but you're talking twice that. They have to get a part specially machined for it.
-
Why did you want to do it?
