did you reset the ECU?

Very nice enginebay! Nice looking car but the interior reminds me why i'm a dubber.

ad says "supplied and applied" to your car for £200. Some dealers charge £100+ per hour. Probably cost £200 for the dealer to polish your car with halfords own brand.

How's things Russ? Painted your car yet? Hard to say how much dynamat cuts down noise as i also used felt. Its certainly very worth while if your fitting a large system as you can play it loud without the whole car buzzing. The biggest gains i got were from using 12mm thick felt under the back seats and on the boot (trunk ) floor. I did my car in stages, once i did the back of the car i noticed the foot wells seemed noisy. Felted+dynamatted the footwells and the doors+quarters became the noisy areas so i addressed them next. With the 35series tyres and rock hard suspension i think its the way to keep the car anything like civilised. New stuff pics. VF Engine mount seems really good quality, polished it, silly really as you won't see it. Also polished a lower front strutbrace i picked up second hand, this will be chromed.

Polished my new VF engine mount + lower front strutbrace. Pics in the gallery in a bit. (now here- http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... &start=720 BTW, how you mod links to keep them short??

saw a Ferrari 512BB at the bodyshop behind my dads work.

The point is the corrado is a sports coupe, the fiesta is a shopping car aimed at a small family. You can make any car go faster than the C for 5K but a fiesta doen't have a the basic suspension design of a sport car, the brakes or the structural ridgity to compete. Take you point about the auto, did you consider changing for a late 16V or G60?. Its the same performance as a std RS Fiesta but a massive leap forward in handling and image. I had a 16V and it was a blast to drive hard. Could of bought 20V Turbos C, think its up for £6k ish. That has the potential for 350bhp..

Let Russ have first option. I wouldn't be interested if there rebuilt as i'd stripped them down again

Bought new ISV, polished ISV, fitted ISV, disappointed, no improvement :(

Who supplied the deeper rims? Can they make them to a specific depth?

That ^ would make a very funny sig.

Why not boycott the petrol station shop... Give your trade to the local cornershop instead.

i've driven a DB7 Vantage, he was definately having a chuckle. 0-100 in 10.5secs...........
-
yep, mine were the same as BBS bolts. You need a snap-on socket from halfords. Don't bother with a cheap alternative, it will knacker your bolts.

i was given the option of a top tint when i replaced my screen. So not a factory option?
-
if you consider selling them, give me a PM.

that stuff is fitted already with the exception of the bottles, only bits i've laquered as the rear brake disc splash guards.

i cut down a piece of ally at work to the same size as the outline for the sticker which sits on the fan cover then took it to a sign writers for engraving.

its a plug, there was a flash with a yellow lense behind the car. Pick for kev, from the chrome vr t thread. My motor in bits.

Considered starting with a 2.8 block overbored with pistons but the guys on vortex with VR-T's advised me to keep it is simple with factory pistons and capacity. Spoke to Jeff Web and he said the same thing and added that its better to start with an engine with a few miles on it and strengthen the bottom end. I wasn't keen on the spacer plate method for lowering compression but most agree its the way to go for the bhp i want. Aim isn't monster power but reliablity and quality of finish. 300bhp+ is a bonus but i'm not bothered if it only makes 250bhp. Ian Birch is coming to tatton on sunday so i'll get him talking, specially as Jeff Seddon is bring B16 DUB down.

well done gareth.

Really don't know. I'll be taking the engine out/stripping it down myself and doing all the prep, not sure i'm up to the build up. Every VR T i've heard about has caused the own a lot of grief, if i do it myself and it goes wrong i'm knackered. Thing is VR T's usually go massively over budget and i certainly couldn't afford to give a company a blank cheque. I'm hoping a couple of friends will help me out as for kit and i'm adamant that i won't buy an off the shelf kit. Sometimes you just have to start something and see what happens.

eh? What rose :?
