    raddo car bra's

    wouldn't mind one myself.
  4. i think it makes the rear end look cleaner. The black and silver is actually much easier and clearer to read i think. Not sure weather to risk it when i'm already pushing my luck driving around with no front plate.
  5. He sold it in bits. Engine went for €13,000
  6. love it. can't wait to make a start on mine, must be so much easier to clean.
  7. Reckon its impossible to say. Ian Birch always says if you going to sell do it straight away as you get the silly money offers when the car is fresh.
  8. cheers, tell you what. My face is burning like mad and bright red. Didn't seem that hot. Thought's on the black number plate? Not sure if it looks better or worse than the tinted yellow one :?
  9. Quick update. Brakes are finally bedding in now. Massive improvement after todays blast from leeds to wales. They work differently than i expected. I'd say less bite on light pedal pressure as you would in everyday driving but push a little harder than you normally would then the stopping power is massively increased. Basically, you've got to drive the car harder to make big brakes worth while. They aren't as good as factory brakes if your just pottering around.
  10. Otherside of the story from PVW forum. He's not happy with you Ben. "Didn't make it there cos about 15 minutes away from the show some idiot in a MK4 Golf decided to crash into me!!!!!!!! 2 lane duel carriage way coming up to a round about, and the MK4 was going too fast and couldn't slow down for the traffic in the left hand lane so decided, without looking, as not to hit the car in front of him, swerved into the right hand lane straight into me!!!! Luckily i managed to stop a few inches from the central barrier! He hit the front corner of my golf (passenger side), so i can't drive the car now cos it's bent the track rod end and wishbone, and destroyed the front end!!!! Took us about an hour to get on the flatbed, and had to disconnect the trackrod end to get it up the ramps so it would go straight! I hope so much that we can save it and repair it cos i love that car!! At first look the damage we found included: Front Wing Whole Front Panel (Slam Panel, lower panel etc.) Front Bumper (Only half of it left!!) Front Indicators Headlights Grill Bonnet (maybe? It's bent, but could probably be saved) Needs to be put on a jig cos the flitch ( ? ) panel is crushed Wishbone Track rod end Steering rack (maybe) Inner arch? That's all i can remember at the moment! Big thanks to all that helped me yesterday!!!!!! AAAGGGRRHHHH!!!!!!"
  11. Next weekend is better, going a show on sunday so going to clean it all day saturday.
  12. Archliners are still in place.
  13. he's in retford which i'd class as the midlands. Barry Roberts Vehicle Body Repairs.
  14. Mine ran hot after a coolant service too. Oil 124° on the motorway, started to worry, however on the return journey was back to normal 112-118 as a steady 80ish* cough.
  15. He's the guy that painted my car. Not sure how much it would cost for just arches as i had every panel modded on my car.
  16. take it to jason buckley
  17. Yeah, i've always used blitz. Its cracking value at £14 a tin, really is no need to spend more than that.
  18. Rick, MJ and Jeff Webb are the only people i've ever let drive it. The turbo it definately needed. I'm building by dreamcar at the end if the day and 335bhp/380ftlb is the goal. No point being scared of stonechips, got plenty already. The first one's a gutter, then you live with it.
  19. Theres always room for improvement, thing's probably near 2 tonnes and needs a fat turbo to give it a kick up the arse
  20. Its not a case of boycotting the show, its the organisers job to put on a show in the right location, attract the showcars and charge a fair price to the punters. They failed on all counts and need to try harder and listen to what their customers want same as any organisation. The number of shows this year has nearly doubled, so the scene is stronger than ever and autometrix have to compete for custom, simple.
