Classic or not, I love the looks of the Corrado both standard and lightly modified and after showing mine at local classic car nights recently, I'm amazed at the attention it gets. They also get loads of attention at petrol station forecourts, I definately think they will become more sort after in a few years time.

Looks good Chris but you've forgotten to put the side strips back on!
-
I'm looking forward to this, the first big show in the Corrado since buying it last year!!!! Hope the weather doesnt spoil it.

I just like pictures!! If yours has the dreaded tin worm, I dread to think what may lie in mine. Where is the rust? What mileage is on yours and how much of it have you done, was it used as a daily at all?
-
Cheers Paul, that is a good price. We have a local company that I use at work so will check if they do the nylon first. Have you got a picture of the car with this lot missing? I found some pictures of your car and Gareth's from a summer nights meet back from around 2003, will post them up.

I've said it before but there is something about freshly powder coated parts! What type of powder coat did you get in the end ad is it a satin finish? Woudnt mind the same on mine.
-
Anything powder coated yet Paul?

Looking forward to having a good look over this at Tatton Park. Hi Chris, are you able to get to Tatton?

Well done Judith and well deserved. I would love to get mine to the condition of yours and maybe over time it may get there, I can totally understand why you do it. A big part of owning mine is because I enjoy cleaning it as much as I do the driving. I'm still undecided whether to stick to the modified route (OEM+) or go back completely standard and go concours (I like the standard ride height) but I dont think I could ever compete with yours after seeing it at elsecar! Keep up the good work.

The arch gap isnt that big on a standard Corrado, I can only just fit my head in. -
Do you mean the standard VW badge on the rear? If so, I might have one in the garage. I'll check and let you know.

These wheels have some dish to them, look I can fit my head in!! -
That's one really tidy VR6!!! Wonder what happened to it, wouldn't mind having a good look over it.
-
Well the Corrado went straight through the MOT today with no advisory's!! It was long overdue a service so this was done and I also had the coolant flushed and a new expansion tank fitted!!!
-
Thanks Kip! Perfect sense. You'll have to post up a pic of the car with this lot missing! Are you going for the nylon powder coat? Top work by the way!!!
-
I was going to go over mine with a sander to smooth the pitting now it's blasted. What are the big bent box section parts and the big piece on the top right of the first pic please?
-
I'm also after this doing on my VR, shame your so far away.

Cheers Gareth, will need to see what happens with work at the moment - not brill at the moment but hopefully should be OK. What do they give you in terms of performance, power, torque etc? do they improve the acceleration??

Well make sure you take the time to get pictures up on here Jay! Good luck, I'm sure you'll get it all done with time to spare. Wish I could get to Stanford :-(
