Well, I got one - I rang the place in Galleywood, but all the corrado and passat handles had already gone. Got one from Stevens in Boreham in the end :) They had a red valver on azev a's that looked quite complete with a lot of parts still on it.....there was an old boy down there that had the rear lights off it for his 16v. Also spotted a mk4 with a veeeery nice recaro cloth interior, which at £450, was sadly out of my price range! I watched them remove the handle, so with a bit of time and patience tomorrow, I should be able to sort mine :D
-
Thanks Supercharged, but I need a driver side one asap so will be going to the scrappy tomorrow......watch this space for a "handles are more difficult than ISV's to remove" type thread  Luckily, my boot lock doesnt work off the central locking!
-
Chrishill - I really don't think you'd wanna see me in shorts
-
sweeet, cheers. I will give them a ring first :) Speed bumps - best not got in the corrado then
-
Thanks Phil - I have a day off tomorrow and Galleywood is not far. Need to use the car so I can't hang about getting it done :(

For some time, the passenger side hande on my C has been broken, and openable only from the inside. Now the drivers side has gone the same way!!! I know Passat rear handles will go on, but I am reluctant to lose a lock incase my central locking ever fails (lets face it, it's me so it probably would  ) Will Passat front handles go on there? And how easy is it to change them? TIA

yes we also like cooking and ironing and all things pink  some of us girls can even do up our own cars from near scratch and can also hold a well informed conversation about dubs and all that mechanical stuff....fancy that  :-P Don't forget practical skills. ISV

Irrc the clutch and brake should have one to pass the MOT. However, if your mot tester actually looks is another thing  The brake pedal at least should have one. I may venture out at the weekend and see how much a set of TT pedals are from the stealers.....seen them on fleabay, but want to check that I cant get them cheaper at source
-
I now have an MOT - so later on I will be taxing it and driving it proper at last :D
-
None of my pedals have rubber
-
 Not 100% sure what it was - took it down to my mate who works at Skoda, and he fettled with it a bit, cleaned the throttle body and....... :D So I now have an MOT!!!!!

Fairly sure that the blue temp sensor is ok.....is the lambda an easy to fit part? (ie i am a bit of a novice and would it be something a numpty could do?)

My 'rado failed its MOT. This was down to a dodgy headlight (now fixed) and the emissions. The emissions reading went straight up to 9.99 during the MOT. The only change Ive made to the car since the last one is a de-catted exhaust - surely this shouldnt make too much difference? The garage tried adjusting the mixture (?) but still couldn't get the emissions down enough. Anyone suggest what could be up with it? I don't use the car very much, could this be the problem? Any pointers would be helpful, as my Polo is looking to be long-time ill, so I currently have no useable car.......

I mostly took mine for an MOT, which it failed................
-
Failed MOT on emissions......apparently the machine thing doesnt read any higher than 9.99.......

I have just finished mowing my lawn. What an exciting Friday night in eh? Tomorrow I'm taking my 'rado for an MOT - fingers crossed, otherwise I will be in my mums sh*tsubishi next week when my Polo goes into the garage. Then, I will mostly be tidying up indoors. Sunday and Monday will be days of rest - probably watch some dvds and generally not do much.

i had a cambelt snap on my old golf gti - cost 470 quid to have valves replaced and re seated and that was at mates rates! Car cost me less to buy lol
-
My main car is a polo gti - not exactly a cheap runabout (but cheaper than a C!!!!!) As much as I'd like to use the corrado everyday, I think the polo is cheaper in wear & tear terms
-
Had my C for one year, five months. I get itchy feet - the longest I ever had a car for was 4 and a half years, a record held by the original L2DUB :D
-
I read that and thought euuuuuuurrhh? Then saw who posted it

Some bloke in a corrado blew me a kiss once ages ago cos I slowed down to let him out of a side turning - old enough to be my dad, but it sort of made my day
