Honest Guv! wasn't me, i just talk nonsense, laugh, make other people laugh then fall over  Some damn good reading in here though if i'm honest :salute:
-
Looked like red wine to me mate
-
Yep its what i'm thinkin too buddy, had a new one fitted today though so looks alright again :? think i'll be carefull where i leave it in future though.
-
Yeah it was a pain in the back side Kev and i dont get what folk get out of this kinda thing at all. My comments on the other subject are i agree maybe a little harsh but what i mean is that i'm pretty sure it was done by a british citizen rather than someone from another country, so i kinda feel if someone does hate the UK for whatever reason and blatantly admits to it, which i seem to hear now and again why dont they go and live where they would be happy rather than disrespect it the people in it as i feel it a little cowardice to do and say bad things about being here but still carry on living here and therefore not making it very nice for everyone else. It must be very difficult to get through simple day to day life carrying such anger around with you all the time & no one's forcing them to stay are they! I know i certainly wouldn't live in a place if i didn't like it. Like i say the last thought on my mind was that it could have been a retaliation as regards the flag on the roof and i'm pretty sure it was indeed just drunk kids having kicks  And if its any consilation i wouldn't mind slightly darker skin and a full head of hair that you have too  Cheers!
-
 indeed, always a pleasure Phil, just make sure you get all the bits as quick as otherwise i'd hate to leave it all for you to put back together before i go away :? Catch you soon & any problems just call
-
Indeed it is matey, really not too upset about it without sounding not concerned at all, but i bloody love this 8v and yeah it's a bit of a hassle and a few bob but it's not much compared to damage other people on here have had  Goes in tomorrow so hope to be all sorted for a trip to DG in it on wed's for a little upgrade :norty:
-
Yeah looks like a hole in the bumper  :cuckoo: wouldnt mind it though even with that as understand you can still get new bumpers for about £400 lol! Shame it's a girls colour though  (Awaits verbal attack! He He)
-
Yeah I reckon you are right there Yan, probably as it attracts attention more than anything else. And same for the national service issue, i mean years gone by people actually wanted to do it but i'm sure it couldn't cope with the total lack of reluctance it would get from some of these people around these days! It's something that a lot of folk say though as if it would solve the lack of respect issue but i guess we all know that wouldn't be the case. Ah well car is as said not too bad and at least the bodywork is still ok so got off lightly really and i'm gratefull for that! :?

Couldn't agree more mate to be honest! and yes as i said it really does put things into perspective! normally i'd be fuming but at the end of the day it's nothing when you compare it to his familys loss. :(

Cheers for the comments here you lot :? and what i mean when i comented earlier is that although it winds a few folk up to hear me say something like i did what i mean is that if it was REMOTELY racial then theres a pretty damn good chance that who ever did it was british too! so it's kinda 2 faced to do something like that. And as said I personally feel it was indeed just drunken louts rather than someone with issues with the flag. It confuses me lots though that we see hear people slagging off the country but yet they were born here have a passport here etc and will be happy to have a pension here, Thats the bit i dont understand. I mean i certainly am not being alf garnet like with my comments and i for one wasn't the first to suggest it could be racial, the absolute first thought when i saw the car was not race related or even student related but one of Flippin drunken yobs :bad-words: I dont need to defend my comments on this matter as i know i most certainly am not in the slightest against other skin/background or whatever, i used to date a black girl many years ago and i wouldn't have done that if i had issues with it. I treat everyone as i'd like to be treated and was brought up never to look down on anyone unless i was helping them up. :? and that is something i always think about throughout my life just to remind myself and tell myself how would i like to be treated. Cheers for the comments again

It had crossed my mind about the roof to be honest but it shouldn't need to be questioned! i mean i'm british, living in britain and driving a british registered car so why should i not have it on there! the thing is if it was remotely racial if they are so adverse to the roof and hating britain why dont they just bugger off from where they originate from? because its too bloody good for them thats why :bad-words: I really dont give a damn what colour skin people have! were all the same underneath it but sadly not everyone else thinks so  I do like the roof but it's making me think a bit, but what'd happen if it was a german flag on there? probably nothing  Ah well such is life!

Na mate a few bonnet scratches and a new screen and jobs a good un :?
-
No cctv i'm afraid as it's a very quiet area, making me think it's better to park right in amongst it all  Probably was just some guys doing it for kicks if thats what they get out of it! i believe in what goes arounfd comes around and i'm sure it'll get em one way or another  Its more the hassle getting it sorted than anything else really but there ya go! at the end of the day to me it's a very minor set back and a few pounds short for the excess which is nothing compared to the loss of a dear old friend and cycling club legend that he was. R.I.P Ian (Minty) Murrey :(
-
Well last night I went to a cycling club meeting which is every month and i try to get to as many as i can but as its friday night i tend to miss a few. This week though i decided to go as on Wednesday afternoon a club member & old friend was tragically killed in a motoring accident on the snake pass :( a head on collision with a polish registered lorry driving on the wrong side of the road. Sad news indeed so anyway after the meet we decided to walk into town for a beer or two and a chat which we did, so i decided i'd have a beer and leave the car there in town as i've done a few times without problems. well got in at 2 am after a good old night was had by all. So then this morning i cycled in to get the car which was parked only 2 miles from where i work. got to the car and some pillock has run over the bonnet and smashed the windscreen :bad-words: i'm pretty sure it'll be students as it was parked near some student accomodation and campus area, anywat thats by the by but what a pain in the ass :brickwall: I hope someone does it to theirs one day :bad-words: Will whack a pic up but at work at the mo and feeling a bit sad :(

Phil, Give me a call around 11am on Sunday as I will most certainly forget to call you
-
Some nice pics there Dave, did a rear bearing on Judes 8v yesterday too! I quite like that little job when all comes off ok
-
Not sure this week end will be any good mate as got a big night out sat but i feel ok sunday i'll let you know and happily come over to yours, just hope all the bumper bolts come out ok as they are the ones that cause the most hassle :( If not this wk end then maybe next? not sure if we'll manage it all in a single day though fella with the dark nights upon us now  but if you do it over a couple of week end i'm there :salute: Talk soon.
-
Good luck with it then chap :?
-
Ah sorry chap, if phil doesn't take it you are more than welcome but i have a feeling he will! Sorry :( Shame as no one was interested in it in the summer when i advertised it for sale on here  I'll let you know if anything changes
-
Only recovering from the night beforew mate  happy to help but i'll probably be a bit worse for wear :pale: were you thinking of doing the job at the week end? or over a short period of time? happy to help strip the car at yours if you fancy doing that? let me know or just give me a call  If phil doesn't take the radiator you are happy to have it mate but £30 is a very fair price, & postage will be on top too!
-
Phil, as said dont bother with aftermarket types as the quality is no where near as good. I looked at one of these at DG earlier in the year and you can see the difference in quality is dramatic. I still have my old one which was perfect I only replaced as a precaution so if you wanna try that you are welcome, £30 to you and i'll help you take the front end off too, its almost childs play and have done it many many times   Let me know either way buddy
-
They are definately Brands Hatch which were available as an option in 94/95 for the Corrado VR6
-
Bummer! Cant you rig one of those solar ones up mate? gotta be better that nothing. :?
-
Vag hag; hope to pick a charger up from the classic car show this month, no more boiled battery :nono: But only ever purchase an air flow
-
Yep the Airflow is the one we use  When she plugs it in that is
