  2. Complete and utter donkey :pukeright: :brickwall: :bad-words: :cuckoo:
  3.    nice one Chris
  4. Good luck with the search then in that case
  5. Yep unfortunately we do only hear about things on here when they are'nt running smoothly, which i will add is rare considering the members we have. the question normally asked is when will membership packs be sent out after joining, i guess we all expect it to be 2 days after payment but we are human after all and normally we always get the packs out to new & rejoining members within 28 days. As we are all volunteers too we generally process members in batches rather than individually. We also get quite a few asking on the clubs website too! Membership is a bargain of £10 per year which runs from May to April as this then enables members to attend the AGM in early April  There are occasionally a few cars up for sale on the site but in al fairness i truly think the Corrado forum is by far the best site for sales or both cars & spares (etc) Hope that helpls and please feel free to drop me a pm if you have any more questions
  6. Dont be daft!!! Get it done while its off, i know of a very well respected chap on here who's tensioner was in bits with only just over 70k on the clock and this was down to low miles not high miles. It's a complete no brainer to me if the gear box is coming off  :cuckoo:
  7. nice one! sale also includes a full valet every 6 weeks by current owner!
  8. quality! is that a sticky tupence in the back? welcome back and will be watching with interest  I'd be thinking 1 to 1.5k if it was as good as it looks for the whole interior. :?
  9. Hi Mate, thing moving on with this pretty quickly, be good to see a few pics of the results too if you have any
  10. Not sure about the alarm Michael, it's prob best to search for a local alarm fitters near you that fit what you have and ask them :?
  11. Did they say they lost it though or not recieved it? No Claims certificate will be issued by your previous insurers if you ask nicely
  12. Think you should post that in your is it just me thread mate  quality reading indeed!
  13. I'd say they were totally liable as THEY Have lost your original and therefore totally resposible so I feel they should be the ones to get a new certificate issued for you from the source that yours came from. As for not accepting a copy of what THEY have lost then Feck Me!!!! UNREAL! I'd be furious mate. guess you wont be usung the imbeciles again huh? and neither will I :bad-words: I'd get a full refund and Feck them right off! There's no way they could charge you for admin costs in reality i feel. I think you'll have to take your car to a dealer who does your type of alarm for them to give it a full service & check over then they should be able to issue you a certificate at a pretty penny though no doubt.
  14. This job is a no brainer in my oppinion, if you have a remote sign of rust around the outer ubber it WILL be far worse underneath it. I would absolutely remove the screen and you are only kidding yourself if you think it will be ok underneath the screen as it will almost certainly be like the first of Jude's pictures. both our so called mint cars were like this so trust me. the seal is not normally supplied with the screen but is only around £15 anyway so not bad. :?
  15. You take that steering wheel off? 1st dibs if so matey  Gutted to see you sell mate but I know your circumstances have changed massively . Be good to meet up for another curry and beer sometime too!
  16. Yep will almost certainly break on removal, just had mine recently done and Jude's the year before. Make no mistake if there is any sign of rust around the trim you will definately have rust on the flange the screen sits on. I'd check you can get it done on insurance first then have it removed to do any bodywork around the screen then get a flat bed lorry to take it to the screen depot as we did :? Incidentally we used RAC in Sheffield and the service was truly exceptional and they were very particular about being spot on with the job in every aspect. But not all windscreen fitters are alike as we well know. I would travel a couple of hundred miles for the service they provided but luckily I didn't have to being in the area. Can pm some pics of before & after if you like???? Kip
  17. Specially in cant see them black
  18. Tis a brutal job removing the old one as i watched him do the whole process, he really swore at it  but was as carefull as anything when refitting it after it had been painted and was happy to let me watch and help replace the wiper cover clips & trims as i didn't want them breaking as i bought new ones of those too. :?
  19. Dark coloured solitudes
  20. Had a guy at RAC windscreens do ours kev and he was genuinely anal about how he went about refitting them, as said its the numpty that cuts out the old one that causes the problem in the first place. When he removed ours they were both flat bed lorried to my body shop guys for proper sorting then flat bedded back for new screens fitting, it added a bit more to the expense but you cant faff around when corrosion is eating your car
  21. Hmmm giant liqurice wheels  are they from the guy with the blackberry VR Mic? the engraved ones?
  22. Hi Mate, aint logged in for a while otherwise would have suggested a few things but it is pretty much as you have done, had to do this recently on 2 of our fleet too. :? feel btter for having it done properly though now and i'm sure it'll be good for years to come
