  1. Lovely motor. Tip for you, photos minus the soap suds look better
  2. What is it, 5 grand and change buys quite a lot of rado with history to be honest (see below) especially at the moment, prices are quite low. I would go for one history, it's nice to know a car as much as possible. 3. I must admit I've never thought of them as cheap, more like horrendously expensive? I could be wrong, how much is very, very cheap? Fundamentaly they are dear, but Smart were doing a deal where you paid for a basic car and get everything else free (bar transmition) on the cars that they already had in the UK. This included in theory everything on the extras list, so satvnav, leather, wheels etc etc. In reality there were not many cars of that spec, but I got a high spec 1.5 auto (Mrs only has auto licence) for the price of a bog standard 1.1 auto. The finance is fixed at 0.8% with no deposit which comes in at £125 per month over 3 years with a ballon at the end or you give the car back and they pay you the difference if there is any (unlikely). Thats very cheap for a very safe car, ABS, traction control & ESP. I whacked a set of 17 inch TSW Kaylamis on it and it looks quite nice. Matt
  4. Got a new daily driver other week, Smart for four (very, very cheap, safe car). Well it had to go back to get a couple of bits done and they have given me a Brabus tuned Smart for two as a loaner and it is the nuts, its like a weaney 911, its got a proper raw, flappy paddle gear box, everything. Put a right smile on my face over the last day or so.

    FORD BBS PCD

Anyone know if the Ford 4 BBS stud PCD fitment fit Corrado 4 stud PCD? Cheers Matt
  7. Have you considered an older M5 or E55 AMG? You can pick them up for very reasonable money now! Huge power and fun to be had in either of those...........
  8. Anyone got a Corrado younger than 15 years old insured as a classic with an agreed value? If so, who is that with? Phoned a few today and hit a few hurdles, nothing is ever easy! Thanks

  10. Autoglym wheel cleaner, but dilute it 2 to one in another container. It comes in a spray so is easier to use than Wonder Wheels. Very good value at Asda for £5 / 2.
  11. front 320 centre of hub 580 to floor rear 330 to centre of hub 590 on Spacs kit, with standard 15 inch BBS

    G60 CAT

Would anyone know if the CAT off a 1992 J Corrado G60 would fit any other VW car i.e. one that would be MOT required? Cheers Matt
  17. The detail is very good, even has G60 badge on grill, but has Sebrings instead of BBS. Happy days, it will sit on my desk at work.......................
  18. Nope a grand is all it costs with a 3 year warranty. No catches, no gimmicks, no bull...........
  19. I put Infinity components in the Rado in the front doors, JBL's in the rear space and got a plug and play sub box from Pioneer which is strapped to the boot carpet, just builds it all nicely. The speakers were less than £100 and the sub was £100. Sounds quite good and you can adjust the sub to what level you want, very cheap way of getting reasonable hifi with no holes. Alternatively, in the Polo daily driver I put Alpine components in the front doors that came with seperate tweeters which i stashed in the plastic things by the wing mirrors, just drilled a whole. I put Alpine shelf speakers in parcel shelf and it sounds lovely and clean. The speakers were again less than £100 all in and you can leave these in when you sell at that price. 20. He mentioned that the leather he gets fitted comes with a 3 year warranty. It has to be pucker because the car would come with a Merc used car warranty.
  21. I was talking to a mate who runs the local Merc garage and he was saying that if he buys in a car that hasnt got leather but should have like a nice E Class say, he gets it put in for a £1k to make it easier to sell on, which includes door cards the lot. Whats more he says you cant tell the difference between that and factory fitted. It just made me wonder people pay say £700 for a set of leathers that are over ten years old when you could get a brand new set for £1k. I would have thought that a C has got to be less to do than a big 4 door Merc. Has anyone had custom leather fitted at this level?
