Im sure i saw a Meguires one in Halfords for £30 last week that was battery operated, but went back to have another look and it was gone. Didnt want to get a mains one with too much guts in case it goes wrong, they had a car battery powered one for £15.99. Might go to another Halfords tomorrow if the weather is OK see if the Maguires one exists. This multi stage car waxing is a bit taxing, worth it though.

Fancy one of these to take a bit of the strain off polishing. Are they any good, if so which is the one to get, I have seen ones that plug into the car and mains ones, plus Maguires do a battery one. Or is it just better to use a bit of elbow grease.

very nice, shame about the awful soundtrack spoiling the action.

Was talking to Darren about that car Saturday as it crops up quite often in posts. Still looks good now, the original post was 2002.

Scooby, my bother in law just got a brand new 06 wrx in blue (euro import) for £16.5k on the road. Thats not a bad deal that. You can get early E46 M3's for that sort of money now as was well cant you?

I have a set of the TSW Kyalami's on my Smart daily driver.

How much was it, the plate must be worth £2k ??

Out of interest how could you detect a remap or chip if there was one present? Also how could you distinguish whether this was installed post your purchase of the car if the previous owner had not informed you. This is not an obvious modification to the untrained eye.

If that is trouble free motoring, that is quite a testiment to the engineering quality of your conversion. 42,250 on my clock on Sunday.

If you are going to split them yourself, you could think about giving it all a go. I know you can get the outers polished for a £15 a time and the centres cant be that dear, buy some new bolts put them back together and your away. :!: -
So if I put 215 x 35's on the back, I cant put 205 x 40's on the front can I ? so what 205 x 35's then
-
that seems a rare tyre size, who makes them darren?
-
Im not heavily into the stretch tyred look but will obviously need to go as low as possible to minimise rubbing. whats the best i can hope to get on 215 x 40 maybe 225 x 40

Thanks thats a relief.

Always loved that car. Hope the depressed C market did not chip your sale price too much. -
