Seems to be a common problem. :? Had this happen to me last year Jim, was til i got a mile down the road when i smelt the horrible burning smell. Dont like to risk it this year and have just left the car in gear, with only the handbrake one click.

Cool, i'll add you later, same for you Lee :D Me, Kempy and Zippy had a bit of online racing going on earlier. Was fun, though what cars are available for each player during online racing seemed a little random. For example Zippy had the Nissan Skyline R33, but i didnt even have Nissan Manufacturer on my "garage" list.

No fortunately not. Im very wary about taking the rado out in this weather, though dont have much choice mostly as its a daily. But its always in the back of my mind one even small bump could write the car off. :(

Nice pics. i will post sme up too. Got any pics of underneath the car on that replay?

Unless they're for the appropriate shocks i wouldnt bother, as you'll just knacker the shocks due to it bottoming out all the time.

Sure thats not dragon green? -
I got a can of Wurth Silver spray which is near exact match to the original silver colour.

Did you try a different gauge with a new blue sender (which are black these days). By the way mate, do you still have the spare gauge. Ive knackered my temp gauge messing with it - similar issue to yours and i need to replace it. Dont want to have to buy a full set of clocks just for the temp/fuel gauge CIPO - Best to get VAGCOM hooked up to it as it will tell you the water temp, then compare to what it says on the dash. But it could also be the thermostat if both vagcom and the gauge are reading more or less the same (the gauge is only so accurate)

 Ive done the camper van race on under the "special" menu, they're sooooo slow  Riley, am i cool to add you?

Hi Graeme Your best bet would be to read the "suspension discussion" thread, there's loads of info on there. But probably mainly for the more expensive coilovers or spring and shock setups. Though as ive always advised, if you're budget cant stretch to one of the more expensive set of coilovers £500> you'd be better off getting either a second hand set of coilovers and which ones will depend on whats available. Or you could get a second hand set of springs/shocks set up. To be honest, and this is speaking from experience, the cheaper coilovers - V-maxx, hot tuning ebay jobbies, are terrible, they ride badly, very crashy and god knows how long they'd last. My advice is either save up some more £££ or keep an eye out for a second hand set of coilovers/springs and shocks.

Yes, it must be 1 metre long. Not 100% sure why but it must be the correct length. Not sure if the original part is still available sorry.
-
Yup. But from my experience with it and GT5, the steering is light on some cars... maybe replicating a modern cars steering. But the force feedback is only set at 5 i think.
-
Ive got the poor mans PS3 with no SD slot. Though ive got a card reader so will use that. :D
-
Ryan, how'd you get the photos taken onto PC?
-
The Driving Force GT is also on my shortlish as i have seen the set up with pedals reduced from £160 to £95 which screams good value and is a lot cheaper than the G27 and Fanatec - tbh spending £3-400 on a steering wheel is perhaps a bit OTT. Im trying to find some reviews on these things as i definately think that to get the most from GT5 a steering wheel set up is essential. dave Yup definately Dave, wheel is the way forward. the Driving force GT is £80 now mate.
-
I use the Logitech driving force GT and its fantastic. Looks great, feels solid and the pedals are accurate. Worth the cash. I never play driving games with a pad anymore. Ive managed to take pics but cant seem to zoom in whilst using the steering wheel, its says use left and right analogue sticks but even with the pad as second controller it doesnt seem to work.
-
Will do mate. ^^^ Everyone, get some practice in. Then once everyone is well into the game we can start thinking about a league :D
-
but did it sort the problem out mate? Which relay number was it?
-
I did and it didnt do anything hmm.... Not played it much tonight, got the B license and had a quick go of the kart, thats it.
-
Has anyone worked out how to work the camera in photo mode during a replay, using the wheel? Got a brilliant shot of my kart coming over the a crest of a hill. But couldnt work out how to zoom in. It says use R1 and right analogue stick, but there's not an analogue stick on the wheel and the pad didnt seem to work.
-
Same here, down the start finish straight, but ran out of road. We MUST have a karting race that would be bad ass.
-
The go karts are fun, just dont turn too much at speed or you spin out.
-
 the blue and yellow . I went for the lime green and grey.
