    Tesco Tyres

contis on 195/50 15 were £102 each.. wtf!
  3. That's where the ironing board comes in haha! :norty: You can get the setups made from tubular steel - which are fully adjustable and also fold up when not used. Though it will make you £80 lighter in the wallet.
  4. I too cannot afford to run 2 cars, if i could it would probably be a different story. But i share the same sentiments as Jim, its there to be used so i use it regardless of the weather. As long as you give it a rinse down with the jetwash often enough you shouldnt have too much trouble.

    Tesco Tyres

Nice. Didnt know Tesco did tyres, though they do every thing else.
  6. Haha mate, glad you like! Cost me nothing as I had all the offcuts of wood in the basement :norty: Might feel like varnishing the top as I've got some laying around from a job. It doubles up as a little side table on the end of the sofa now for my drinks :) Come on Gaz, pics up!!! Bet that looks funny if anyone came into your room and saw you using an ironing board :cuckoo:  hahaha the girlfriend has laughed at me before now haha. Needs a cup holder and somewhere to keep the remote close
  7. I like it Matt, how much did it cost you to make? I wont show a pic of what i use, as currently its the ironing board set as low as it will go
  8. As a fan of the "old" Top Gear aka 5th gear (but now has crap presenters, bar Tiff) I would like to see more about the cars - when i say the cars, i dont just mean the high end motors who only the well off can afford. Saying that i do really enjoy the Top Gear adventures. I really liked the Boxing Day Special, i lol'd all the way through it, was happy to see James May was ok.
  9. The good thing for me is that i havent played Gran Turismo since number 1 (yes that long). So i've only got that to compare it to. I agree it does need improvements in places, especially the online play. But overall its a good game, i'm enjoying it. Tom, get a wheel mate, it does make a difference imo. It does change the experience.
  10. cool, did you end up taking it apart then Ryan?
  11. Right guys, my Christmas starts tonight. Everyone enjoy theirs, drink and eats lots and be safe. :x-mas: :x-mas:
  12. Fell in love with the SLS to be honest, it looks mean, yet has a touch of class about it and it sounds like rolling thunder :D though the Ferrari was really nice. The Porsche again nice, but as above i wish Hammond would choose a different car. Rams, thats a good point about being still under Mckenna's spell  Enjoyed the show and pleased to see Tiff back on Top Gear, well behind the scenes at least. Does anyone know if its a permenant thing, will he still be doing 5th gear also?
  13. morons. How high did they bounce at 0:50!!! Ollie - to warn other drivers!
  14. Ah man, you spoilt it! The second pic is really satisfying to look at, something about it i really like
  15. Yeah i dont now, not until i either get to chance to change the handbrake cables or the weather warms up.
  16. Got it sorted in the end. Had to jack the car up and push the lever. Once i got the bonnet up i realised the issue straight away. The golf tee shaped piece that goes through the hole of the lever was broken to bit and was on the wrong side of the bonnet release. I ended up having to bodge it for now so i can get under the bonnet if needed. Will have to order a new cable. How much are the cables? Oh and managed to get my coolant sorted. Stuck undiluted coolant in. Cheers for the replied lads.
  17. Funnily enough my mechanic also mentioned to let it idle to warm the temp up and it should release. I'll try this. :D Halfords isnt that far from work thankfully as the temp light was still flashing i didnt want them temp to get that high, it prob got just above 70. Cheers fella, ill give it a go, in a strange way i hope it doesnt work though as it will justify me breaking my damn grille
  18. I heard £1,800 quid then obviously you have to pay for labour to get it installed More or less spot on, i think i paid 1900. Still cant fault it, its going strong after 28k Bear in mind that you cant necessarily just ring them and say you'll have one. There has to be one available. There were only 2 when i got mine, the other was always spoken for. Its on an exchange basis too, but i think they sort all the couriering out. Not 100% as it was my mechanic that sorted it out for me. Comes with a years warrenty or mileage limit. As long as you get the book signed and stamped.
  19. Why oh why oh why do i insist on owning a corrado. The story goes - Set off to work this morning, after scraping the car windows free of ice whilst car warmed up. 1/4 mile from work steam billows from the bonnet passenger side and warning light comes on dash. I limp it to work, literally 30 secs. Bonnet up and the reservoir is over flowing. So i close bonnet and let it cool down. I rang my mechanic who suggested a blockage in the system, possible slush due to the extreme temp, indicating lack of coolant and too much water - possible. So after work i put bonnet up, to check level. There's no water in the reservoir so i top it up with some bottled water i had and get to halfords for some coolant. Get to halfords, go to put bonnet up to drain some water and fill with coolant. Guess what! bonnet will not release. I've had to break my grille and have managed to release the passenger side, but the drivers wont budge with the lever. Im gonna get it jacked up and hoping i am able to release it by reaching up from behind :? To release the passenger side i pulled the cable towards the centre of the bonnet, can i do the same with the drivers. Or does the drivers have to be pulled towards the wing? The one thing that you wouldnt want to happen when you need to get to the engine bay!! :( Corrado ownership, dont you just love em!
  20. Merry Christmas one and all. Have a good one! :D
  21. Yeah was for sale a while ago, 8k is optimistic  whats the handbrake from? Golf?
  22. Yeah you'd have to get the flange removed and a band welded on the downpipe and cat.
  23. Same here, pretty impressive comparison. Im jealous that you can run such nice daily cars and keep the rado as a weekend car :D
