  1. Im assuming the engine was off when vagcom stated error message - 00513 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28) 03-00 - No Signal? Ignore it, this error always shows when the engine isnt on. Someone could end up correcting me, but if the coilpack was at fault, id suspect you'd get misfiring rather than stalling.
  2. Shame there's no corrado really :( still i'll get over it
  3. Sorry mate, not something thats common with these. It was down on power before because it was letting air in just before the cat and making it run rich. For a start you'll need a new donut gasket for between manifold and CAT. Also needs a new metal gasket for between the head and the manifold - cheap as chips though. Im providing an adaptor which the flexi bolts go into. But the adaptor is attached to your cat by 3 nuts. The problem i think is that the flexi bolts will only screw so far in before they hit the cat flange , i couldnt get them tight enough - shorter bolts prob would do the trick, though ive been running it with a sports cat, not the standard cat. Or you could get the cat flange taken off and the adaptor welded straight onto the cat. At least then the bolts wouldnt hit the cat flange. The donut was provided by the person i bought the manifold off but it was new when i got it. Maybe the wrong donut was provided, i didnt have any reason to think otherwise. I've asked about this issue on the forum and not come across anyone with the same issue who has a 6 branch. Sorry if you think ive kept anything from you, that wasnt my intentions. If this puts you off buying the manifold, then im happy to refund the cash. Ive just had enough of it being unable to get it to seal right.
  4. WOW! The car feels so much better, must have been down on power before, its running alot better now. Goes like stink :D 8) Very happy. Shame it cost so much to get it swapped over, as he had to drill and retap the studs :(
  5. Had a bolt fall out from the holes in the wishbones and doesnt seem to have affect anything  Just forget about it.
  6. Also got these to fit - sorry pics arent clear, so i'll just tell you what they are  This is a pair of window rubbers, the bit that runs along the bottom of the window/top of door panel on the outside. Mine are a bit rotten and mouldy. Not cheap though :-/ Apparently the last ones in stock also.
  7. They are my mechanics sentiments exactly Danny. He is a believer on standard, he likes things to be left alone and i can appreciate that - but sometimes aftermarket can be an improvement. Its funny really, the day he fitted it he said to me, "You'll be asking him to swap it back over sometime in the future". How right was he!
  8. Well after about a year of having the 6 branch manifold fitted and not being 100% happy with it. I got the original manifold and downpipe fitted and i have to say im kind of relieved that i made the right choice. No more sucking/blowing noise, id never been able to get it to join onto the cat correctly. Always sounded like it was blowing despite attempts to sort it :( Sounds mean as h3ll now, especially having the BMC and sports cat fitted, the car has a nice deep rumble to it. :D
  9. Probably was teaching you a lesson for breaking it
  10. Another year done
  11. Ah but they are 2 slightly different things you're talking about Paul. I agree, painting the outside edge around the vents before fitting isnt a bad idea (i remember the pics you posted) they do look better without the horrible corrosion. Im just not sure about spraying the face of the discs. In a way i can see why you'd want to do it if the cars going to be sat for more then say 4 weeks. But anything up to that id imagine a good run would clear things up. :D
  12. Im struggling to see the need for this though  Surely the surface corrosion on disc doesnt do any harm and after a good drive its gone with no lasting affects?
  13. Thats reassuring, as id be warey of spraying anything on the disc. I suppose laquer isnt a lubricant so wouldnt be like spraying WD40 onto the discs.
  14. Just give it a damn good run once you get to drive it again. Brake discs do wear and get thinner, so the layer the corrosion forms on will be worn away leaving no trace of corrosion on the face of the discs.
  15. To be honest, the brakes will be fine. Even brand new cars sat on the forecourt get rusty brakes. Once the brakes are used it will clear up. You DONT want to be putting anything on your discs like WD40 to stop them corroding, obviously this is dangerous. It sat there will do it no harm, maybe leave the handbrake off and in gear if possible to prevent the pads seizing to the discs.
  16. Oh yes!!! :D Costs in the region of 2K for the rebuilt 12v engine plus what ever else you choose to do like new clutch and water pump or engine mounts, then there's labour to fit, unless of course you can do it yourself. How much does the 24v engine cost Kev? is it a straight swap or do you have to change anything else to accomodate the engine?
  17. The later Corrados do indeed have bigger tanks. Not sure if it will fit or not sorry. But note if you put a bigger tank in the car you'll also have to change the sender (and therefore possibly the pump), but also the dash guage which might also mean changing the whole instruments.
  18. I prefered it with the refuelling AND they should get shot of the tyre rule where they must use both compounds. Roll on next march :D
  19. its what drew me into the thread initially.
  20. Are you planning on leaving the interior out?
  21. The sort of film where you're shouting at the TV asking them WHY THEY CHOSE TO DO THAT! yeah i hate them too.
