  1. I really like that, looks tidy 8) Not too OTT, but noticably different. :D
  2. cool will give them a try. Cheers fella.
  3. Nathan, can i ask which shop you went to for the manifold gasket donut? Cant seem to find them online now hmmm..
  4. Aye more pics if possible. I guess the front arches have been done same/similar?
  5. Picasso? Thought it would be an aftermarket part? You can get them online so i'll take a gander about. Cheers anyway Nath and keep the updates coming! :D
  6. had 205/45/16 Toyo TR1s on the VR, actually got a set on the rear now, but have had a set on the front before. Road noise was fine imo, but they do wear quicker then i thought they would. On the back however they've worn less quickly for obvious reasons. For the £60 odd each, you cant complain. I do recommend them... But im sure there are better tyres, but as expected you pay more. So depends on budget.
  7. Looking good Torsten... looking very good infact 8) Im interested, is that a scuttle cover? (below the windscreen)
  8. No afraid i dont have any pics mate. Know exactly what you mean about a good seal. Mine is blowing at the mo, Ive adjusted it twice already. Having to do it again as its blowing a little. Its really frustrating, ive never been able to get it to seal correctly. Going to buy a new donut seal (metal wire seal thingy  ) and try the bolts the way round you've done, see if that works better. Can you do me a favour and measure the inside and outside diameters of the metal donut seal that goes in the 6 branch? Just so i can buy the right size. Cheers dude!
  9. Nathan, a little off topic mate. I notice on your 6 branch that the bolts are facing away from the engine bay. Was it fitted to the car with the bolts that way round - where you able to tighten them up with them that way? On mine the bolts are put in from the engine bay side and are a bugger to tighten up.
  10. In ten years of driving ive been pulled over maybe 5 times. But not once have i got an arsey copper, even when i have done something wrong. I've always got out the car, but been polite and have had no bother at all with the fuzz. As someone pointed out already, maybe it IS a regional thing? Cops in Yorkshire seem friendly enough to be, but maybe my opinion of that will change if i come across an arsey cop.
  11. Yeah read that too actually. Cost me £70 too inc VAT
  12. No they wont need anything. They'll just align everything based on the height its at. Makes sure the height is as you want it before getting it done, because as soon as you change the height again you'll throw it all out and will need to get it realigned. Sorry cant help you with a laser alignment in wales.
  13. VW didn't originally include the Corrado in their Heritage Timeline until a number of emails from forum members, including myself, asking why it wasn't present! Shortly after that it appeared. http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/volkswagen- ... e/timeline[/quote:649nxwdt] Never seen that before, didnt know they had a timeline. I like it.
  14. Yeah there will be loads of cars they dont sell anymore that arent on their website.... so its not odd at all really.
  15. It probably means VW are in denial about its existance as it was a bit of a flop. :( If only they'd have priced it a little lower, everyone would have been driving them.............. then again
  16. The Corrado was still made for 6 years and is known to be a special car.
  17. As harry said if its coilovers you can try a height and change it if necessary. Depending on the offset and width the wheels you have, you shouldnt have any issues. Its the 90mm splitter that will be the issue, it will scrape on every speed bump and over time will get wrecked. But easily solved by putting a 50mm splitter on.
  18. I dont understand the mistake. When i say this i dont mean to sound like im slagging the Scirocco off, im not, i quite like them actually. But and correct me if im wrong, but the scriocco never had the same status the Corrado has. So how come they always 'know' what the Scirocco but not the Corrado
  19. Yup give them a week OF USE before adjusting. Make sure you adjust them on a flat surface, or they'll end up being different on each corner. You'll need a 4 wheel alignment, which takes care of tracking, toe, camber and caster. T The tyres will wear unevenly if you use the car before getting alignment done, but if its only for a week or 2 then it wont be bad.
  20. Bear in mind he's wanting to tell the insurance and not sell the car. Sure if he was to sell and waited long enough, im sure the right buy would come along, who would pay the 5k+. But then we can refer to the old rule of "ts only worth, what someone is willing to pay for it"
  21. No offence taken mate, dont worry  Like i said anyway, im nothing to do with billing. I know what you're saying, i cant anymore, sorry
