 Would be nice if i had the spare 80k, but if i had that car, i'd have to drive it. Not sure how id feel about doing that after spending 80K on it
-
To be honest, the amount you submit to the insurance wont necessarily matter that much. It wont affect the premium much unless the car is worth 50k+ and you may still not get what you say its worth IF, dread the thought, it got written off - however you can take steps to prove its worth what you say, im just saying its not guaranteed. The only way it would matter significantly is with agreed valuation.

Id say 3.5-4k due to low mileage but no leather and assuming its standard? 6k imo is still too much even with the low mileage.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

OMG no...thats to fit the panel and tend to the tiny bit of rust on the rear panel. Then to de-rust everywhere else, except the underbody then prep the entire car ready for new primer, topcoat (flame red)and laquer. Sorry misread what you were saying  thankfully!!! -

Im a Data Analyst at npower and deal with meter installs/removals and readings that are wrong on the system due to your meter reader getting things wrong!!! No i dont deal with your bills so no PMs!!! BUT i also do UAT for the system we use, currently testing the new way of working your suppliers are goign to work - only getting your meters read every 6 months. I am however on the hunt to actually getting paid to do UAT, at the mo im doing it voluntarily and have been for the last 6 years. Yacobwood, any idea if there's anything going at your company in the Leeds/yorkshire area? Ive been applying for jobs but havent got anywhere at the mo? -
nah, again sun or rain i love driving it. Snow on the other hand i dont like so much, petrified of the possibility that some idiot will slide into the rado :( oh and i hate driving on slippy side street in the rado, again terrified of sliding into the kerb or something. Speaking of corrosion, the stone chip seems to have got water under it and has peeled away from the sill, dreading salty road season :(

Gaz's Bordeaux Pearl VR NEW WHEELS!
Critical_Mass replied to Critical_Mass's topic in Members Gallery
Right another update of this thread, but a good one. My georgeous gal got me some wind deflectors (for the car  ) for my birthday - Between you and me i think she got tired of me moaning about the water dripping from the roof into the car . I'm well chuffed with them, they are the Team Heko ones off ebay. I got them fitted in about 5 mins. 8) They look smart. Just hope the tiny stick pad on them manages to hold them ok. May have to do something to secure it better - dont want them falling off whilst going down the road :? -
Nugget almost done! Well top bit anyway :)

Yes very nice pic, loving the stance. 8) -
They should have been balanced when i got the tyres fitted. They were done through my mechanic who goes down the road to a tyre place he always uses. I hope thats all it is. :D

Ive noticed that it doesnt occur until about 60mph, but im not sure if it fades away nearer 70pmh, i'll check that though. Over the weekend i will be changing the wheels back to front like you said Poll, but ive also got a previous set of alloys to try so i'll stick some on the front. Really hope its not the spacers causing the issues as the fronts wont fit with out them and i cant afford another set of wheel, even second hand ones. The previous set i dont want to run to be honest as they are wide rears and i dont want to fit them again. I'll have to get some better tyres on the front as i hear its best to have the better tyres on the rear, but will swap to see all the same. Cheers guys.

Hi all, Got an issue with my VR. Seems i have a vibration through the steering wheel, sometimes its slight, sometimes slight worse then slight, but not severe, other times its not there at all. This depends on the road im on, it seems to happen on the same roads, but not on other roads (again the same ones). Its not there all the time. I dont recall it being there before i fitted different wheels. Which did have new tyres all round, but the front 2 had cheap budget tyres on the fronts. The new wheels have 5mm spacers on the front, which fit over the centre of the hub, though dont bolt to the hub. THe bolts go through the spacers and into the hub. But the spaces does sit on the hub, so is central - i know non hub centric spacers can cause vibration. Also, the steering feels a little loose and sloppy and is suffering from a bit of bump steer. So i put it all down to worn ball joints. Im really hoping its not the wheels, like one of them are bent, unless its just the shoite tyres and/or they've not been balanced correctly. Any input before i start replacing things at random?

Gaz's Bordeaux Pearl VR NEW WHEELS!
Critical_Mass replied to Critical_Mass's topic in Members Gallery
Right... i havent posted on this thread for a while - simply due to their been nothing to update. First off, ive noticed by steering is all over the please, feels terrible. Loose feeling, bump steer is terrible and theres a vibration, but the vibration is there all the time, only on certain road surfaces and only when accelerating. Any thoughts? Tie rod ends, ball joints? Also ive noticed, where the sill meets the front wing, the stone chip stuff the put on before painting seems to be working it way loose. By loose i mean its 'peeling' away from the metal below. I guess water has some how got under it some how and has progressively gotten worse. Anyone heard this happen before? I know its going to be a body shop job. Can anything more be done to slow it down until i can afford to get it sorted. Along with a few other bits of rust on the front wing and behind reg plate lights panel? Ive put stone chip over it for now. -
Remove the plastic handbrake tunnel, its under there.

What's the worst kind of bad driving?!
Critical_Mass replied to V-Dubstar's topic in General Car Chat
Butterfly - if im honest ive done this before. But only when there's a queue behind the car waiting to turn and there's some cars behind me. I know what its like to be sat turning right and not one tw@t lets you in, especially when you could be waiting a while for a gap. Whats even worse is when the road coming towards you allow on coming cars to see that you've been waiting and waiting.... -
That last pic Abdul, the paint looks immense! :D

I did that. But then made a schoolboy error by switching the sky box off :epicfail:  So neither qualifying nor the race actually recorded :( Still its repeated at half 1:30pm.
