Well i received the bracket today Dave (Dave16v) thankfully made for me, he's done a fantastic job with it, it fits like a glove inside the aquarium cabinet. Its very well made too! Plus he was kind enough to powder coat it for me, which wasnt necessary as it wont be seen, but it does finish off the metal work nicely. Thanks again Dave! Top bloke!

I thought I had enough fuel to make it home....

Ditto, think i may have to pop open the lid for the in tank pump and take a look at the arm. It's likely to be that you have a mistmatch in the sender to the gauge. They stopped making the senders for the 12 gallon tanks ages ago and even fitting a matched 15 gallon tank sender and gauge means the gauge drops down very quickly. Not much you can do about it unfortunately unless you fit the 15 gallon gauge face, it will mean it reads more accurately. I assume its the Piersburg sender you are referring to Yan? if so i got one earlier this year, cost me an arm and a leg though! £100+ Stretch - if you want this let me know im sure we could do a deal, wouldnt want the full price i payed. But something my way to recoup some of the cash would be nice :D its new, never been used - bought the wrong one as someone obv has changed the pump in mine at some point. -
Nope, from experience when mine were worn it only did it on full lock only

Sounds like the CV joints.

sorry dont know if aircon would make a different, cant see how if it does. The boiling sound is probably just water running. I occasionally get it when ive been for a run and i turn the engine off, its sounds like boiling water but its just the water circulating into the reservoir. Sorri i cant be more help. As long as temps are ok and the heater works. not sure it will be a problem

Pumbaa, do they sell the modified TT blades seperately?

I shouldnt laugh... but  3 years old! he must have been giving the engine hell! -
Id say its more the barrel then the ignition switch, assuming the steering lock isnt on

Found that out myself Danny, its a bitter pill to swallow. But the sooner you realise it the quicker you'll get over it  After all your driving a corrado, which looks damn good, its not all about speed. Though that doesnt necessarily stop me from trying to give my VR more power  :D The Focus RS, although i can appreciate it mechanically, its a bit larey and in your face for my liking. The ST looks better. -
Yeah i fitted the mk1 TT wipers too, infact i had to shorten one of them slightly so it didnt catch in the centre. The garage i go to sells Bosch aero wipers, think they're for a mk4 golf. They fit too. But they arent quite as long as the TT blades so dont get as close to the edge of the screen

:D ^^^^^ I thought i was the only one that thought that. My car only seems to break when ive not washed it for a while. Seriously... its spooky!
-
The spacers i use are 5mm ones i got from ebay. However the central bore hole fits exactly over the centre bore AND the bolt holes are drilled at 5x100 so they do sit centrally on the hub. Anyway, i think the issue was the crap tyres i had on the front. I swapped them for the toyos i had on the rear and to be honest the car felt damn right dangerous. So i was advised to swap the tyres diagonally and the car felt better not dangerous nor with the vibration through the steering wheel. So, im going to get some decent tyres for the front.

It would well be an airlock. Did you put the heater and fan on full whilst the engine warmed up and did you massage the pipes? Also did you leave the expansion cap off whilst it heated up also?

Hi fella! Welcome to the CF! :D

9a decat - practicality, functionality, driveability.
Critical_Mass replied to Bazmcc's topic in Engine Bay
Yes you probably will fail the MOT due to emissions. If its registered after 92 you'll need to put a CAT on. As for the power gains, they will be minimal if anything. The Decat should have a hole to put the 02 sensor in, you cant just delete the 02 sensor. -

Looking good Alex, be good to see it on the road. Hate to point it out, and it could just be the light. But is the NSF arch slightly different yellow? -
Well i'll will be paying attention to the ISV, Relays and MAF. But could a faulty ig switch cause running issues, starting issues sure, but running issues? Mines been changed and fires up first time everytime so im ruling that out. Fuel filter has been changed since owning car, but again no starting issues etc again fuel pump, although its not been changed since i owned the car there's no lack of fueling when revving the car.

I dunno, RB's pace is down to the aeros, not the power of the engine. Its well known that the RBs Renault engine is economical but its not as powerful nor reliable as say the Mercedes engines. Sure the RBs a much faster in the corners, but in the straights they are caught up.
