  1. Well before HIC i was with Adrian Flux so i'd imagine they'd do it the other way round. We'll see, i'll give them a ring later.
  2. I*d forgotten about Flux until today, i did have a policy with them year before last but HIC beat their renewal. Will give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say. i really hate all this ringing around, its repetitive aaaaaargh!
  3. HIC still do agreed valuation. But dont think many, if any other places do.
  4. I asked why mine was higher then last year and i was told something about the underwriters and that they'd changed or something
  5. Yeah alot! Its not worth the hassle mate. Here's another http://www.tsr-performancestore.com/tsr ... -845-p.asp £90 more but probably better quality and it probably fits  I tried a google search on Raceland 4 branch manifold but didnt come up with many places to buy.
  6. x2 exactly what i was going to suggest :D
  7. good effort mate. I like the front view. But the wheels make me laugh  Could you send me a slice? :norty:
  8. Looks smart Mr Owl and £47 to fit isnt bad at all! :D
  9. Well rang a few places. Bear in mind these are all prices paid monthly so includes the usual fees to do that First off Performance Direct who quoted £790, which is £76 a month. Included mods and no valuation. next Brentarce who quoted £697 which is £53 a month - included mods. Apparently Brentacre dont do an agreed valuation. and lastly so far, Admiral with a multicar policy with the missus' lupo. My car was £513 for the rado and £363 for the lupo. Worked out as £1040 including the charge to pay monthly - included mods. Just need to ring Chris Knott now, which i'll do tomorrow. Its not as cheap as i was hoping. Saying that i did a quote on swiftcover and they quoted £400 and odd, which was £45 a month, but didnt include mods and no valuation. I've been driving for 10 years and i've got 5 years no claims now - took car off the road a couple of years and had a accident which knocked 2 years ncb off. But i thought it would drop as soon as i got 5 years ncb and over 25 years old. :( booo!!! The search continues.
  10. does my fookin head in too. such a scam as the 1 ltr bottle is normally a bit under half the price the 4 ltr bottle. Id just buy an extra 4 or 5 litre bottle, which is ever the case. Then just top a spare litre bottle up :D
  11. Cheers Scarlet i'll give them a bell. Chris Knott and Brentacre close at 5 mon-fri :( gonna be hard to get in touch with them
  12. I'll be getting one of these. By the way the lower strut bolts on the front suspension can be a right begger to get off.
  13. Indeed and both cheap to fix :D
  14. Do Chris Knott and Brentacre do agreed evaluations?
  15. Yeah thats the plan. Im going to just play them off each other and see how low they will go!
  16. Ah sweet, Cheers bud! Im gonna spend an exciting evening ringing insurers then... lucky me!
  17. Ah right cool, Cheers Jim. Can i get the car insured at that address before the car address is registered or can the insurance company check where the car is registered - only got a couple of week before insurance is due thats all.
  18. But still, its £9 a month more and im paying it over 12 months instead of 10 - im paying more and over a longer term   Can anyone confirm my last comment regarding V5?
  19. Infact i'll be moving house in the next month or 2 so i'll get insurance from there. Though i know you need car registered to that address, does this cost to get V5 changed and do i have to wait til its changed before getting insured at new property?
  20. Will do! The thing is i was trying to avoid paying a deposit!
  21. I'll give Chris Knott a ring. Im really annoyed!
  22. Has anyone recently renewed their policy with HIC. My first year with them is coming to an end at the end of this month and they've just requoted me - nothing changing bar some after market lights on the rear. The price is no different in fact its slightly more!!! :bad-words: I wouldnt mind if i'd crashed or something but i havent and even have an extra years NCB!
  23. The infamous ignition switch?
  24. Just buy a deepset spanner they're not expensive but makes it so easy to remove the struts nuts. Also if you think about where you put the axle stands when jacking up the wishbones and rear beam especially should easily be allowed to drop enough. I remember fitting my first suspension on the rado and spent hours trying to push the rear beam down enough to remove and fit the struts, only to realise after if its put the axle stand under the bondy instead (using cardboard to protect underseal) the beam and wishbones too, dropped easily. Just my little tip. :D
  25. sorry did i state the blooming obvious there
