Are the centres brushed effect? Im sure they'll good great once a little elbow grease has gone into them.

In coilover terms i personally, speaking from experience, would put them in the budget catagory. BUT youre right £350-£400 is still alot of money. Like i said in my other thread try them, they may be ok for you. :D

When you say smokes in the morning, could it be just condensation - is it white not black? Does it go once that car is warmed up. If not and its black not white, then it could be running rich. A common area to check is the Lambda wiring, check its not broken as ive seen this happen a few times to peeps on here, as well as myself in the past. If you look down behind the engine bay, just next to the drivers suspension turrent - under the air intake pipe, thats where the wiring is for the Lambda on to the ecu loom. Even if the wiring is all ok, the lambda could still be duff. You had it VAGCOM'd yet?

Cool. They look a bit dull in the pic, or is that just the pic? Looking forward to seeing these Wompa keep the updates coming.

Yeah just read another one of his posts on another thread. :?

well that's just great :brickwall: - I'm about to collect a set of V-max coilers from 'frankie'! :pale: Tell me there not that bad!! They were voted 'Fast Car - Coilover of the year 2007'. Fact! AAAhhh your post on the other thread makes sense now. Well they did what i wanted at the time and that was make the car lower, but as a daily i just couldnt bear then after a while. Sprinter, why dont you try them and judge for yourself. You may find that they're not THAT bad, esp if you've had nothing to compare them to.
-
x3 They look exactly the same as the v-maxx. As said above, they're bouncy but bearable. But again, as already said... for only an extra £200 you could get something ALOT better. I wasted £350 on the v-maxx and got rid after about 2 months and speaking from experience what i replaced them with are so much better. Arrrrrrrrrgh :censored: :censored: !!!! What???!

Ah thats explained then. Cheers :D

This seems to be a very common problem with the Lambda wiring breaking... but how does it manage to break????
-
That looks absolutely mint. It sits so nice on those wheels and the white just works so well. Well done mate, thumbs up! :D :notworthy:
-
The one in the first pic looks like its for the lambda sensor, its not the first time i've seen this broken - my vr included.
-
Im sure you'll be happy!!! :D
-
HAHA! Put on your flat cap colin! :dorky:
-
Im sat here drooling at those pics. That engine bay looks like the cars never been ran... the interior never been sat in. Its truely an amazing car. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I really dont worry about doing long trips in the rado.... its not THAT bad imo.

 All praise Reggit.... good man! :D  I love this forum!

Aye, the one thing thats put me off getting a leather interior... the hot sticky summer sun!

Does it sound like its going to splutter and die? ISV?

i think they should bring back the old fashion way of starting the race where all the drivers have to run to their cars get belted up (or not as the case used to be) then drive off!
-
Stealing Scummy :censored: !!! What they take the grille off for, to get the bonnet open?
-
Lambda would show up on vagcom. Calliper does not smell, I had one myself and did wonder about the rather poor mpg, but i blamed that more on the supercharger. I think it would only occasionally bind as well. The only way to tell is get a brake test done. But its not like your mpg is waaaayyy down or anything, it could just be your drving style Gaz! :D[/quote:1vo97qxb] that probably what it is, its hard not to give it some beans! :-D though there are times i do try to drive more efficiently but it doesnt seem to work much. It could well be the calipers binding a tad. When the snow was here i got in the car one morning to drive to work and had this awful smell and the brakes had frozen on, so i dont know if its something related to that? My MOT is due at end of May which will consist of a brake test.

That's for the speedo, not the rev counter... Dodgy rev counter would point to a dodgy earth or dodgy clocks to me... ;) Ah good point.

Sticky calliper? Poor lambda? Having followed you in convoy I know why![/quote:3k40oaz6] Wouldnt a sticky caliper get hot and smell of burning? The Lambda shows no faults on VAGCOM, any other way of telling other then just trying another?
