  1. I dont see what could have been disturbed if they've only changed the oil and oil filter and even air filter. Possible disturbed the MAF connection on the air intake if they've changed air filter, but then you'd expect irratic running then.
  2. Reset the MPG gauge first by holding the switch on the stalk on zero. Has it just had oil and filter changes?
  3. Blackberry rado (not sure of flavour) on the new built road at Cross Green Leeds. I beeped on way passed.
  4. yeah it sure does, volcanic ash dont you know lol!thats my excuse and im sticking to it :D i know, they are 1954516s and the only tyre i could get to fit on the 9s,even then they were some work to seat on the bead, and i had to use 10mm spacer on front to clear the caliper,so running et5 ,those wheels wont be staying as i picked up my favorite wheels on monday in a size i didnt know existed, arch work will be required :norty: 8) You going to let slip what the wheels are youre picking up?
  5. Its one of the nicest car about imo. I perfect balance of engineering and style. Though i prefer the hard top over the spyder. But a v nice car all the same :D 8)
  6. Looking at the tyres, it looks like you will get some right scrubbing!
  7. Had that happen to me. Let me guess, you went over a large bump or pot hole and the spring plate disintegrated?
  8.  Congrats mate, All the best! I see the C gets a good start, thats 1-0 to the Corrado is it not? The Daewoo will be gone in no time :D
  9. I didnt realise standard lenses fitted the impros casing. I tried and it didnt quite work. Would be interested to see the light pattern too.
  10. Its a shield fitted to the underside of the original CAT - protects from stones etc. See the CAT on the middle right of the pic, You can just see it. Its welded onto the CAT. If its loose just pull/cut it off, its not needed and shouldnt make you fail an MOT.
  11. If there oil temps they look fine to me. If you were booting it and the weather was warmer?
  12. Look like standard brakes. Its the carrier that the pads sit on its catching, not the caliper?
  13. I'd be interested to know how you get on Trickster as mine need changing too :(
  14. Hi guys, Ive discovered today that the rear drivers seat is missing something. When i put the seat down one of the pivot points is missing, so the rear backrest isnt actually attached anymore - no idea how this has happened. If i take the rear card out and i retreive the 'bolt' will i simply be able to refit it or is it a 'non removable' part and i'll have to get a new seat. Ive looked on etka and the only part i can see it will be says 'this is not a spare part'. Any help appreciated! :D
  15. Well i had an agree valuation with HIC for this policy that im on. Wasnt lots of paper work to be honest. Took some pics and filled out 1 or maybe 2 forms. Was more or less hassle free. My car isnt worth LOADS! but its worth more imo to the book price. I just want to get a decent amount back. After all its got an engine in it thats done less then 20k on the clock. Just want to make sure i get a decent amount back.
  16. Yeah i realise that, but HICs quote is double what chris knott and greenlight have quoted. Im considering forgetting the agreed valuation for this year at least and just going for the cheaper quote. But what i wondered about the agreed valuation is are they obliged to pay out the amount that has been agreed. Or can they get out of paying the agreed amount at all... you know what insurance companies out.
  17. Anyone got any opinions on agreed valuations?
  18. Corozin's idea is that way forward. Fortunately (or unfortunately), i havent seen any old giffs doing this round my area.
  19. Big improvement don't you think? Gives the front end that little bit more attitude :D Yeah, its really easy to do as well which is a bonus, gave me a change to give the lens' a good clean too! I've wanted to do it since I saw Kev's avatar but hadn't gotten around to doing it, now i've got to find something to do with a practically full tin of hammerite   same here mate, small tin of black hammerite barely used. If i'd have know i'd have posted you mine. Though you could paint some chassis parts if you ever take them off the car i suppose - wishbones or whatever.
  20. Big improvement dont you think? Gives the front end that little bit more attitude :D
  21. Agreed valuations, are they worth the paper they're written on - Opinions/experiences?
  22. i'd second that. Infact i prefer it over the new golf... looks wise. Wouldnt mind a sporty polo! :D Prices start at £9,*** too, which isnt bad really.
  23. Just tried now Tim. They must be busy due to it being lunch time and all.. so was asked to ring back :( Will try again. Got through in the end. :D
