HAHA!!! 'They told me to lower it several times and i couldnt take the pressure!' Dont let the chap who started the 'why a corrado' thread see this! You are a total schnozzel!!!!
-
I can relate to that... i've learn so much since owning a Corrado.... though i dont mind getting my hands dirty if i've got a fair idea what im doing :D For me - - Again the looks, they still look damn sexy despite them getting on a bit now and even my modern standards dont look out of place and infact stand out in the sea of bland looking motors! :D - The rareity of them, ou can gaurantee at least one person on each trip you take will point or thumbs up or even comment on the car. - It may not be the fastest car on the road, but it just a pure pleasure to drive (when everything is working as it should) and finally.... - The fan base is brilliant - this is members forum has cool, friendly and knowledgable folks 8) and this is just one of the corrado sites. Dont let people put you off with tails of breaking down etc, that can happen with any car. The pros greatly out weigh the negatives. :D

Well that is a fair point. But i use it on a netbook so its small anyway. If you lift the trim the gearstick gaiter is attached to, the trim with the 'Karmann' badge on, there will be a white and a black plug to connect it to the ECU.

Yeah id agree with supercharged that VAGCOM is the way to go. As far as i know some of those code readers just tell you the code, you then have to look the code up in a manual to find out what the code means.
-
Generally the software used is VAGCOM - which is free from the Rosstech website. Just install it on your laptop and get a cable from somewhere like ebay. Can be a headache to get working, but when it does it works fine. OR as ive seen on ebay again, you can get hand held code readers for a about 60 quid.

The Tyre Discussion Thread - please read 1st post
Critical_Mass replied to dukest's topic in Drivetrain
Hmmm interesting as ive had one vredestein fitted on the front drivers due to a puncture and that was the only brand they had in stock in my size, it has a 'V' tread pattern. But since having it fitted there been a noise which sounds like its coming from the corner the new tyre was up on. Its been fitted for a few thousand... so possibly experiencing the above ^^ -
It would still be on the car had half of it not fallen off
-
scraping my splitter on speed bumps wrecked the air guide on mine and it was scraping on the floor itself. Just took it off no issues. In fact there was only one on the drivers side not on the passenger side too.

What V-dubstar said. If its going click click click on when held on full lock, its CV joints.

MOT fail today, a little buying advice
Critical_Mass replied to one_eyed_willy's topic in Drivetrain
Could just need adjusting on that side. The adjuster mechanism is under the handbrake tunnel. Or it could be the mechanism on the caliper thats stiff. -

If they said brake it will be the caliper. But also the handbrake may not be holding the wheel on that side. -

I had a set of the FKs shocks/springs albeit second hand and they did the job. I've had no experience with the Supersprint springs/shocks -
Incorrectly fitted bulb i think causes that. Not sure why  The badly fitted/incorrect bulb tries to earth through the live of the sidelights when the brakes are pressed... this allows power to get to the front sidelights, thus illuminating them, all be it at a lower level than when they're on properly... There you go ^^ haha i love this forum!

you know i agree! My ex's little boy jumped in the bk of mine no problem and the leg room was fine for his seat... infact it went in there realy nicely. The only thing holding it bk is the lack of 5 doors![/quote:dkst94tt] Yeah the extra doors would be handy, but you'll have to adapt yourself to getting the baby in and out.
-
i really like that! :D Remove the stickers and the racing net then i think it would look mean.
-
:) That is a problem isn't it. Certainly is. You could hear the boards skipping on the floor and funnily enough you could hear webbers car skipping on the road during the end of the race.
-
Thanks for confirmation swifty!
-
Great, glad its getting sorted! :D
-
Indeed its really good to see them making progress. :D It will give a little hope to the new teams, seeing a one new team improving each year. The thing with the redbull cars if they were optimised to run on low fuel ie low ride height, then how arent they dragging their arses along the floor on full fuel load?
-
Yes thats the rado i was thinking of actually! Though looks a little more grey then the BMW, though could be just the light. Its a very very nice colour :D
-
I suppose you could then, im no expert sorry.

3 split rims would mean the fascia of the wheel is seperate from the rim and both are seperate from the wheel itself. So 2 split must mean the fascia and rim are one piece. So i wouldnt say so no.
-
yep refuel and front wing. AND yes it does make you wonder hmmmm

I was thinking along the same lines as The_Dude. How about something like this - maybe even a touch darker?
