Hi all, Need a little help with the KWs ive fitted last weekend. When i fitted them the height was how they came out of the box and for some reason the rears where set lower then the fronts, therefore the front of the car was pointing up in the air slightly. Now, i left them to settle for a week and the front needed to go down about an inch, the rear is a nice height. So i measured the thread on the front before adjusting and they were 9cm from the spring seat to the bottom of the threads. So i took them down 2.5 cm on both sides, measuring the thread to make sure both sides were lowered the same amount. I put it all back together and dropped the car to the floor and found the passenger side is about 1cm higher then the drivers - even though they were both lowered the same amount and they were both the same before i dropped the car. My question is, does each coilover (both fronts) have to be set to the same height, or can i adjust one slightly lower to the other to get the car level - will this affect how the suspension works together? I really dont understand why each side is different, the drivers is set to how i want it - but the passenger side front compared the the passenger rear is too high. Where its parked is pretty much flat.

CF F1 Fantasy League 09 -Final results...who won, who lost?

I hope so. I don't really want to miss Massa winning his first race of the season now do I? He'll do well to come first from the back of the grid ;) -
I have this issue with my supersprint system on my VR. I think the main problem is (for me at least) is that the tail pipe coming out of the back box doesnt come out horizontal, but on an angle. Thus come close to the bumper. This doesnt explain the movement i also have. Can you buy stiffer rubber exhaust hangers?

Im also on my third rado. 1st, Flash Red 2.0ltr 8v 2nd, Inca Blue G60 3rd, Bordeaux VR 8)

If there's a hole in the CAT i would have thought it would be messing the Lambda readings up and be running rich. Which will make the car down on power.

Shame, i was wanting to fit 4 space savers eventually - new 'scene' thing  Seriously though, what if i have a puncture on the front and on the way to the garage, to get a new tyre put on, i have an accident... im wont be covered? Damn insurnace, pull all the strings to get out of paying. :mad2: Cheers for the heads up, not that im hoping i'll have to use the space saver anytime.

As Billcor said, i answered my own question, but still had it in my head if i ever fitted the space save the car would be lop sided :cuckoo:

Cheers dude 8) I wasnt sure.

Harsh  is that a no!? Where can i get a 16" space saver from, vw?
-
Hi guys, Just a quick question - possibly a stupid question at that . I've recently fitted 16" alloys. Can i still use the 15" space saver, as i know the rolling radius is the same. Or will i need to get a 16" space saver? Also will a 16" space saver fit in the wheel well in the boot? Cheers :D

Sounds like its running rich. Is the hole in the exhaust before the CAT?

:? The first race and it all starts all over again....

err, the reviewer says it is a chrysler van rebadged :) commentary cracks me up, sounds like a kitchen multi-blender ad on a shopping channel  Ah, obviously wasnt listening when he said that. I was just skipping through it though. : D

I know its a VW but its looks SO American. You could put a chrysler badge on the front of that and you would suspect a thing. Bland looking van/car

Very exciting race! I thoroughly enjoed that :D Nice to see some of the other teams at the front and well done to Jenson. Again shame about Kubica and Vettel, but that did help put Hamilton up into 3rd 8) (I missed the 'Trulli getting penalised' bit, so thanks Corozin) As for Hamilton only being good because he's in a good car... surely he proved that not being the case in this race. Even if Kubica and Vettel had stayed in the race he would have still finished in 6th which is impressive considering he was in a 'slow' car. Good on him i say and lets hope the car improves :D As for the Ferraris, Massa doesnt half have some bad luck with reliability. But all in all its good to see it being close and not just the Ferraris and Mclarens up front. Looking forward to the next race now :D -
Cheers! Was just looking for confirmation :D

'lo guys/gals Fitted the fronts of the KW V1s today. Noticed that whilst fitting them, that the bottom spring seat has a little allen key screw in it. Whats this for, do i loosen the screw before adjusting then retighten once i've moved the seat? Thanks

Not a good start for Mclaren, they were back of the field at the end of the 2nd free practice. Though Brawn and Toyota werent at the front as expected either. The field is all mish mashed. -
jeeesus.... is kicking off already and the season hasnt started yet.

Love them! 8) Wanted a set of the Artec PAs myself, but i didnt have the dough for them. I was going to get them from dubmeister.co.uk and for 8x17s they were £168 each and that was without tyres.
