  1. Cheers kip  Does anyone else have 3 rivets along the bottom of their rear bumper right on the edge underneath - towing eye side
  2. Was under the car yesterday and also noticed this panel on mine almost gone  so just to confirm its just a 'backing' for the rear bumper nothing more?
  3. Bought a set of smoked from ebay and you cant see the bulb through them.
  4. Sorry to hear that mate. Try talking to the manager about the situation ubt it could be difficult to prove. Keep an eye on ebay, the centre caps occasionally come up on there. I know its not a full set but here is one centre cap on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WHEEL-CENTRE-CAP- ... 240%3A1318 EDIT - obviously too slow at replying.
  5. Pete - mine was registered August 93. What's with grey and k reg then? is it simply not many were made, or is it that the colour was phased out...?
  6. As Leonard said Karl, if you've got a dremel with a metal cutting disc. It should be able to cut a slot in it for a screwdriver. It should do the trick.
  7. Right i need a little advice with my suspension. I have Koni TAs fitted, bought off here. As far as im aware they are in perfect working order, nothing to suggest otherwise from seller. I've been jacking the car up today to lower the circlip on the rear struts to their lowest setting, not a problem. But i have noticed even when jacking up to remove wheels, that the suspension seems to drop quite alot, this didnt happen with the previous suspension setup (being FK shocks). If i jack the drivers rear side of the car up, the axle on the passenger rear seems to drop quite alot (I've attached a pic). Is this normal, is it just the weight of the wheels and axle causing the strut to full extend??? Before i had the wheels fitted in the pic i had speedlines fitted and the same happened. This also happens to the front struts. When the car is sat on the floor the height seems ok. I've done the 'bounce' test and each corner seems ok. Also one other question related to suspension in general. Is it normal for one side of the car to sit slightly higher/lower then the other. On my current setup and on my previous FK setup i've always had one side sitting slightly higher then the other (about an inch both front and back). Have i fitted something incorrectly, or is it not really expected to get the EXACT same measurement on all four corners or rather rears and front.
  8. Are K reg VRs rare or something, going by the comment in this thread. Mines not grey but it is a K reg? It has a late interior and coilpack, sounds like one of the first coil pack VRs.
  9. Can anyone tell me what Jamex springs are like... im after something more then a 40mm drop on springs and shocks and cant find many (if any) places that sell more then 40mm springs for a VR. G60 or valver no problem but the VR its more difficult. Found these https://www.carperformanceuk.co.uk/corr ... 18720.html
  10. Bumpity... I've looked on net and cant see any -60mm all round FOR A VR, but they sell them for the valver and G60. Have i just answered my own question, and are coilovers the only way to get it lower? hope not... :? continued on suspension discussion thread.
  11. I thought that was always the case - warrenty is non-transferable and only applies to the person who bought the goods.
  12. Never read the book, only watched the film. I'll have to give it a read. Watch the film mate, its crazy. :D
  13. Is it possible to get hold of 60mm drop springs to replace my -40mm springs. I would like to go lower without having to go over to coilovers, if possible? Anyone point me in the direction to somewhere thats sells -60mm springs? Thanks Gaz
  14. Yup definately abs cage related, or rotor what ever its called  I had this happen to me when i didnt refit the old cages onto the new brake discs. THe light came on and went off when engine was started but you only had to drive 10 meters and the ABS light came on. Check your ABS cages mate.
  15. Used the search for you mate. Standard bore size is 2.25" as per Mr Haywire. ;)
  16. Nice one chaps, ill get them on the FS section when im ready. I bet you were fuming 3CM. All these are as round as round can be.
  17. Does £120 seem reasonable? (+ P&P)
  18. What turned out to be the problem causing the annoying coolant light, Jim? Fitted set of dezent alloys bought off here. Looking good too 8) though i think the car needs to go a little lower now that they're on, but i dont want to go lower then -40mm drop- will get some pics up when i get some new batteries for camera, you guys give me your opinions.
  19. Hi all, How much do a set of 4 VR Speedline alloys go for these days? Probably going to have a set FS soon! :D 2 need new tyres the other 2 will need changing v soon ish. The general condition of the alloys arent too bad as i sanded back the paint and resprayed (as 2 were bubbling), which hasnt done a bad job. But on the fronts the brake dust has firmly attached itself onto the wheels so they do look rougher then they are. These could do with a professional refurb to get them looking back how they should look - i will try get some pics up :D What kind of price range do these go for? I know probably not much but they have to be worth a little something.
  20. thanks for the responses guys. Ok i'll get the bloke to sort out the courier himself, saves me the hassle. All I have to do is wrap it :D
  21. Ta Mic. Wow that is a drop in weight! I asked this question because someone is interested in buying a standard exhaust from me, but then asked would i be willing to post to spain!!!!!!  Would a courier be willing to deliver an exhaust, not sure how i'd package it, i told the bloke it wont be cheap if it is possible - he's obviously quite desperate.
  22. Does anybody have an idea how much a standard VR exhaust weighs? This includes the back box, suitcase centre box? Need to know asap. Thanks! :D
  23. AAH spot on mate, a couple should sort it. Only one needs replacing, but it would be handy to have a spare!
