  1. I hope the skyline the engine was taken from was a write off, otherwise WHY!?
  2. The bolts didnt come with packaging, so ive no idea. All i recall it saying in B&Q was M12. The car isnt been driven at the mo anyway as its in the garage. Saying that ill get some bolts ordered through the garage.
  3. Cheers guys, noted. I'll get some ordered from VAG Why would GSF say do that then!?
  4. Hello mate. These should sort you out - Eurostyling International Unit 1 Silverstone Tech. Park/ Silverstone Circuit N.Newhamptonshire NN128TN Phone: +44 (0) 1327855321 FAX: +44 (0) 1327855325 Mail: [email protected] Homepage : http://www.eurostyling.co.uk
  5. I saw on the news one eve that coppers were stopping vans and checking their fuel. If they found vegi oil in the diesel the van driver would get done.
  6. tbh ive gone off it. I prefer the ones you see on ebay with the sillouette of the corrado roof bonnet and boot.
  7. Hi guys, No worries now. Order is being swapped for normal crystal lights red/clear
  8. Ive got a t-shirt with a Corrado on. Car-artz.com i think it is.
  9. 10mph!? The image of the steam roller and the bad guy in Austin Powers springs to mind  Sorry.
  10. Theyre the prices are fluctuating quite alot at the mo. Ive found Texeco are more expensive at the best of times.
  11. Ah.. cheers Supercharged. I'll look into getting some from VAG. Did you say they were a couple of quid for each bolt AND nut from VAG?
  12. Thats not right, I've bought loads before and they are a couple of quid max with the nut - I'd be very worried about using B&Q ones unless they say 12.9 on them!!! A couple of quid from VAG bolts and nuts? The ones i bought from B&Q fit snug, just a tad long. Had no issues with them, i checked them after a month or so and they were still as tight as they were when i first fitted them.
  13. WTF! £5 for one bolt. I thats £20 for fronts and £10 for rear. rediculous! GSF told me just to go buy them from a B&Q or like. Cost me less then a tenner for 4 bolts and nuts for the front. M12s but needed shortening a tad.
  14. Rover metro H reg - first car after passing test, Rotted from under me, thnakfully. Pug 106 - quick replacment for above, though never let me down. VW Corrado 2.0 8v - part exchanged the pug for my first corrado. Crashed it 6 months later VW Corrado G60 - some plonker hit me. (8v and G60 in happened in one year :( ) VW Corrado VR6 - Current. Let this one live longer.
  15. i use the scissor jack just to get the car up high enough to get the trolley jack under the car. Though one of those low trolley jacks seem like a good idea
  16. There's a cross member (correct name?) that goes the width of the car the wish bones on either side are connected to. I put stand it on that. Did it fall over with the wheels still on?
  17. If i need both front sides jacked up i always jack one side up, stick an axle stand under it then do the other side. When jacking up the other side you can have the car tilting more on the axle stand side and car should be fine, as long as its not ridiculously tilted - though you wouldnt really want it any higher then the side youve already done. As for the jacking it up in the centre id imagine that also should be fine as long as youre on a flat surface and its jacked dead centre. Though personally id go for the side at a time option. (oh and that was with a trolley jack, dont the bottle jacks have a smaller support surface, if they then id def go with the a side at a time option)
  18. I know what you mean mate. Good luck with the next one. I think no matter how much you earn the corrado will damand a tad more then you can afford  Hopefully a respray will be on the cards some point down the line. But for now its not gonna happen.
  19. Yeah, bound to happen though really thinking about it. I am glad that people are willing to spend that much on their Rados. And aren't put off by the rubbish selling prices at the moment. If you love your car enough you can justify spending well over its worth in parts to keep it in working order. Its all part of owning a (semi) classic car. I love mine to bits (which it hopefully won't become) and can't see myself selling it unless I have 3 kids and ludicrous debt. Otherwise, I will keep it by hook or by crook. I suppose if we didn't have the passion we'd all be driving Honda Accords! Ditto. If I werent planning on keeping it i wouldnt be getting the work done. I wont be able to make any money back on the car for the engine etc. so it would have been pointless. But as you say Corradude unless I have 3 kids or silly debt ill be keeping it.
  20. Yeah it'll be like having a new car :D But i hope this is all i have to spend on it for the next year or so AT LEAST. Not including the little bits here and there. Though i do need some decent tyres too! Sonicriot13, you spoke too soon  mine seems like pocket change compared to Corozin's.
  21. Ha funny you should ask the question Alex. Friday Car is going in for the following - Reconditioned VR6 engine Clutch Spark Leads Spark plugs Oil + Filter Coolant CV boot Full Wheel alignment Not including Labour the total is £2364.09p eeek It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it, It will be worth it
