  2. how does the jubilee clips method work??? dont think the dealers will lend me the tool. Tried to get halfords to order me the appropriate tool but apparently cant get hold of one.
  3. Can anyone tell me of an easier way to get the tensioner shock absorber back onto where it is fixed on the alternator??? Ive tried pushing it down but with no luck. Ive tried putting the belt on first then the shock absorber. Also the absorber on first then the belt. no luck!!! please someone help me!!!! :cry:
  4. when you say you pushed it down did you mean the shock absorber??? fekin hard to even press down a little bit.
  5. Is there anyone who can tell me in detail, but clearly, as to how to fit a 65mm pulley. The only way i could see to get the belt off is to take undo the tensioner shock absorber nut off and then take the tensioner shock absorber off of the thread to slacken the belt enough. BUT now if i put the belt on first i cant compress the spring to get the top of the shock absorber back onto where it is bolted. I cant compress the spring enough to get the belt on either if i put the shock absorber back on to where it is bolted on. So ive had to order a tool to compress the shock absorber. As above can someone send me clear but detailed instructions as to how to fit it? Oh and also get the pulley off. finding a adjustable THIN spanner to hold the pulley while the bolt is taken off is proving difficult. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks
  6. I was cruising back from halifax after a VeeDub show and i was getting 42mpg that was cruising at 50mph. Motorways i get around 28-37 and round town its approx 25. I dont think that is bad at all considering how thirsty a G60 is. Oh yeah that is running on a SNS chip. No pulley yet though!!! 8)
  7. I seem to havea problem with my electric windows. I THINK! My electric windows were/are working fine. BUT one day the just stopped working for no reason, wouldnt open at all. So i thought great have to get them sorted and got out the car and went into work. When i returned to the car they then started working again. They do it now and again, stop working for no reason then once ive left them for a while they start working again. I checked the fuses and theyre all fine. The central locking is working and the windows work on the same mechanism as that. Any suggestions i would appreciate it. :? OH and also!!! the interior light stopped working and the mirror light on the sunvisor stopped working too, Think they run on the same fuse but the fuse is fine. Problem after problem
  8. Does anyone know of any garages around the Leeds area which will fit a SNS chip and 68mm pulley for me? I went back to one called Well Lane Turbos where i had my G60 on the rolling road there. But when i rang them they said they wouldnt fit the chip because i didnt buy it from them (understandably). So if anyone can point me in the direction of a garage that will fit them for me i would be grateful!!!! :)
  9. Do you mean the bouncing problem or the acceleration, or both? Glad to hear im not the only one. Is it a G60 performance characteristic? im getting a pulley and a chip off of some one from the forum hope that improves it. Cheers for the reply
  10. ah right yeah i know what you mean. The bloke who is selling the pulley isnt responding to emails. anyway for an extra 6 quid i can get a brand new one from g werks. But they arent responding to emails either.

  14. Hi Guys, Ive asked for help about a few things on here before and here is another. I read the "G60 loss of power" post on here just now. I have lost a bit of power too poor acceleration. The car juddered like bounces forward when my foot isnt on the pedal like im in too higher gear for my speed like when im in traffic. BUT IM NOT IN A TOO HIGHER GEAR and it can rock the car quite alot. Now ive noticed it happens when im in 3rd or 4th gear when im travelling at around 30-40. when i change gear too the car seems to drop quite alot of revs. Any ideas? ive had it on a rolling road and it came back normal. I think its an engine management problem but dont know what exactly? Hope that made sense and someone can help. Thanks
  15. Fekking birds, im buying a gun! I agree with the Blue being the best colour for a C, i have a G60 in the NICE inca blue, LOOKS GORGEOUS when its sat in the sun and has a blue/purple 2 tone!! Nice 'C' man.

  17. Every time the supercharger is rebuilt does it take some of its potential out of it. A mechanic i go to said he'd say it probably would. Sorry if this is a stupid ? Cheers Guys! :roll:

  19. yeah but the smell in my G60 seems to go once engine is warm. only time i notice it is first 10 mins of running car in morning. Any diagrams of ALL 3 fuel hose within the engine (overview?)

  22. I have a small hole just behind my CAT would this effect the running of the engine other then the car being a bit louder?
