I agree with dukest, though if you can afford it then buy another and transfer across what you want to keep. Then break whatever is left of your old car to recoup some cash

I'm planning on Rotrex charging my VR shortly!

No dude, you cant do that!!! maybe as a very last resort IF it comes to it. Unless you need to recoup some money i'd leave what you have in the garage until your situation changes. -
The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Hope it also made you think that £118 just for 6 months tax was worth it too :D. I had the dreaded tax last month too, along with MOT too! :-/ -

The definitive "what exhaust?" discussion thread!
Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
You can get 6 branch manifolds to replace the existing manifolds and downpipes. Supersprint make them and they're really expensive. Raceland do a version, which is pretty good quality. Can pick them up fairly cheap. It wont add much in regards to power, slight improvement on throttle response, but not much more. Needs wrapping in heat wrap if you're going to fit one imo. -
Plus, the chances of it going to a good home is greater if you sell on here.

Pistonheads may also be another good place to start. But definately the forums. It doesnt cost anything to post on the forums, it CAN also be free on pistonheads but i would personally spend the £12 to put it on PH, otherwise your ad will be right at the end of all those peeps who have paid. Dont think there's a time limit on here, but Jim, being a mod, will be able to give you a definate answer to that. Are they selling - i dont know, but patience may be needed. Good luck.

Forget ebay. Get advertising it on the forums first. Here is the best place to start being a Corrado forum  Also, plenty of pics and pile as much RELEVANT information into your ad.

GIVING AWAY, CHEAP Monkey???????

Watch Harry Potter The Deadly Hallows last night. I wasnt initially a HP fan, but watched the films and did enjoy them. The latest (part 1) is good, though confusing to say the least. Will be watching it again. But i do recommend it. 8/10

Always been one of my favourite Corrados Nath. Its a credit to you. :D Though wouldnt blue smoke on start up be more a indication of stem seals as opposed to on over run?

B*gger - possibly caught by mobile speed camera

What sort of distances do these mobile speed cameras work at anyway? -
Is the check strap bolt the one thats attached to the inside of the pillar as opposed to the inside of the door? It has an upper and lower bolt?

Hi all, Got an annoying issue with both my doors, im pretty sure the problem wasnt there before when the doors were ok. When i open either the drivers or passenger door the middle hinge, the one that allow you to hold it open at certain points, always crack. Its happened before and it was due to the to nuts on the inside of the door being loose. I tightened them up and tthey were ok. But its started happening again, i checke the nuts and they were a bit loose so again, tightened them up, but there's still an annoying cracking when the doors opened or closed. I have tried silicone grease, still no luck. ANyone hand this issue? Thanks

Took a look today and the minute leak on the pipe going from the crack pipe to the oilcooler is leaking more then i first thought. Its not gushing out even when engine running, but there was a lot of pink residue. Problem is there's not alot of room. But gonna have to get it sorted.

The Miltek will be more throaty - but i wouldnt say its chavvy. The Supersprint is close to OE sound wise. As OSV said ^^
-
I agree with Mk1Campaign, i also have the supersprint exhaust with the oval tailpipe. Its larger then the original but its not oversized and the sound is subtle.

Cheers Tony, what you said makes sense and i understand the pressurised system etc. Ive topped it up when hot and this morning when cold too. Going to get undert the car tomorrow and take a look, with the engine running and hot. This isnt what i need right now :-/
-
yeah true, i suppose thats a blesssing. Checked the level again just before i left for work this morning. It has dropped again. But no sign of a leak ANYWHERE, not round the oil cooler, not on the floor not in the drivers footwell..... confused. hmmmm............... oh and no signs of any steam in the cabin
-
Cos i've been slack and not pulling my finger out! If i remove the oil cooler i assume i'll lose oil and water? Will it be a case i'll lose a little of each if im quick on getting the part changed over. Or am i best to drain either/both?

Critical_Mass replied to VR6Pete's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Kind of pleased to hear that cos i missed out last year and didnt realise this was goign on, wouldnt have been able to make it this time. -
I would imagine so, as the engine is still the same way round. Not 100% though.
