Oil changing a lowered car, some advice please.
Critical_Mass replied to OllieVR6's topic in Engine Bay
You cant check the oil without a computer - thats madness!!!!!! WHy the need to computerise things that dont need it. Whats wrong with a Dipstick? -
Ok keep the DRS and tyres and get shot of Kers
-
To be fair though with Maldanadoin, Lewis was right up along side him. As for Massa, i dont think he was gonna make it up the inside. But like Lewis did when Schumacher made the move there was some cooperation between the 2. Unfortunately Massa didnt cooperate that time. AND again to be fair, it does seem Lewis gets more penalties when scuffling with people on the track, then anyone else. Schumacher gets away with appauling moves, vettel hitting button at spa, vettel and webber incident at turkey, alonso at malaysia which did involve Lewis. I dont blame him for getting a bit frustrated by it all. Look at the 2008 season. Thats not to say Lewis is completely incident, he has made mistakes. But other drivers have done as bad or worse and got away with it.
-
Its for the mpg, works it out using manifold pressures.............. i think.
-
Certainly an interesting race, I was hoping Lewis would do better then he did, still a 6th is better then a kick in the teeth. I really hope the other drivers catch Vettel up in the WDC, otherwise it will be over way before the end of the season. Mclaren and at least during Monaco, Ferrari are looking to be pulling RB back in. I agree the tyres, kers and drs have seriously improved the racing as in they actually race now and not just follow. Though imo they should get shot of the DRS and just keep the tyres and Kers.

The window scrapers are still available but are expensive. Cost me close to £100 for both sides.
-
Did you just replace from the cat back? If you did you'll still have a cat. If you've got a de-cat on, then there should still be somewhere to screw the lambda in.
-
The VRs front end is heavier then the other specs so the springs are stiff as a result
-
Its screwed into the cat. and plugs in to the back left of the engine, to the left of the downpipe.
-
Yeah i remember reading that thread. Is the misfire always there or only when on the throttle - it could be due to overfuelling caused by the lambda. Get the sensors changed then see if the misfire disappears.
-
If the Lambda sensor is faulty it can cause fuelling issues. The inlet sensor - not 100% sure what it does. I THINK it measures the temp of the air before it goes into the cylinders (hence the name i guess), may want to have a search on that. But i would get them replaced if faulty.
-
Oxygen sensor i believe is the Lambda sensor. Again i believe the inlet temp sensor is next to the fuel pressure regulator. Front right of the manifold as you look at the engine. Was the engine speed sensor will show if you scan when the engine isnt running.

After realising how expensive the contis are - £105 EACH and being unable to get some Kumho KH31s in time for MOT retest. I went for some Avon ZV5s and not being overly enthusiastic about it. But ive found them so far to be and alright tyre. Good grip in the dry and wet. Great feel of the road too. They're not fully scrubbed in either with them only been on the car a couple of hundred miles. So they should get better. -
That looks sweet mate, the red lights on white really do compliment eachother :D Prefer the all red lights to the red/clear split lights tbh. Is that an after market aerial or is it just missing the stem? Cool, where abouts did you live in Leeds

Fitting New Alarm.....Any Helpful ticks or tip???
Critical_Mass replied to Rorgasm's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
For the sake of £30 or so i would just get the fitters to do it. But thats my opinion of course. -
Yeh was doing this on an old G60 i had. Clock was resetting to 0:00
-
At least its something relatively cheap to fix. It'll be back on the road no time. Thats a seriously nice corrado you have :D I asked about the battery becuase the clock isnt showing, even with the ignition off the clock should be on and even the mileage.
-
Yup standard procedure for agreed valuations and classic car ins. Remember to clean and wax it before pics on a nice sunny day too. :D
-
The Corrado brakes are always a pain to bleed. Ive always done each wheel first starting with the one furthest away from the master cylinder, then do the ABS pump, then theres another in the master cylinder. Failing that if you can get it to VW they can get them how they should be so i hear.
-
Thats an immaculate Corrado mate, looks brand new. :D Is the battery disconnected in the intrument cluster pic?
-
Welcome aboard mate, got any more pics of the car? Is that a matt black roof?
-
No it was a computer game on the Amiga.
-
Anyone ever play the old skool game called supercars
-
Yup. Say someone has offered £1k for it, can you offer anymore for it and so on.
