  1. ah man, have you got an F1 car, i was saving for one, but the cheapest is 10 mill :(
  2. What kind of camper we talking mate, split/bay? Hope it gets found :(
  3. Careful what sand you use then David, as some sand will contain silica which is not the stuff you want. I went to B&Q and got some play sandpit sand which was safe. Pet shops may sell the right stuff too, but often i find there's a premium on it.
  4. http://www.ttshop.co.uk/search.asp?prod ... &site=main Though they seemed to have gone up in price :?
  5. Just to add something in regards to the substrate, sand imo is better then gravel as its easier to clean as the waste stayed ontop of the sand and there was less disruption to the tank, just suck it up with the siphon. Though it can look a little messy with waste being on the top - just keep on top of it. Also plants thrived better with sand as the roots were able to dig in more. I agree with the pets at home comment, every time ive been in there, there's been dead fish in the display tanks. Stay clear imo also. One thing pets at home ARE good for are the frozen foods. They're small trays divided into sections. They're perfect. The strip tests are ok, but they're not 100% accurate. Get yourself the liquid droplet test kit. Not cheap but worth it.
  6. That was the thread i started and they would have been Andrew30's tanks. Though that thread was based around Marine fish as opposed to Tropical.
  7. Ive kept tropical fish for a number of years and yes i learnt some lesson the hard way. But i did learn, thats what was important. Bit of advice for you, avoid barbs when you have fish such as guppies, mollies etc. Any fish with long fancy tails as the barbs like to nip tails. Also as above buy the biggest tank you can, but dont buy a tank taller then it is wide - its all about water surface area. A timer for the lights is a good idea as turning the lights on and off at set times is a good for the fish - also for no longer then 12 hours at a time, can be less if you dont have real plants. One major rule and easy to follow - do not over feed the fish. Speaking of feeding, vary your fishes diet. I did this for about 5 years and really enjoyed it. Im giving marine fish a go next - once i get my tank setup. Dont have the cash at the mo.
  8. smart @rse^^^^  For me its the mpg and fuel gauge and yes it does depress me :( Especially since ive lost 3-5 mpg since fitting the standard manifold back on.
  9. Right the saga continues  Well after taking some advise my next step is to fix the flexi joint which is leaking. I knew this was leaking before, but as the Lupo's Lambda is literally just after the engine on the exhaust manifold i did think it would be having much of an affect. However i found out today that the Lupo has 2 cats and 2 lambdas! :cuckoo:  There is a cat 'built into' the exhaust manifold where the first lambda sits. Then the down pipe which goes under the engine from the front. There is then a flexi pipe connected to the second cat where there is a second lambda. Apparently this set up is on some Golfs also, but i have no idea why a 1 litre lupo has 2 cats and 2 lambdas. Anyway i will be getting a new flexi pipe and getting it welded in to replace the knackered one. Anyone know the internal diameter of the flexi joint on a lupo? Easypops does your autodata have any info on their?
  10. They HAVE to be Bosch? All i could get at the time where Champions (i know :? ), don fancy having to splash out more cash on another set of plugs. Plus im not convinced changing the plugs will cure the problem.
  11. Good luck. They're a bugger to get off without bending them and new they are expensive. :(
  12. I bet if you stay clear of comparison sites and go direct you'll get it even cheaper.
  13. As Dukest said, just go get quotes. There's too many variables on insurance to be able to say for sure. Try Heritage Insurance, Adrian Flux, Chris Knott or even Greenlight insurance - im with Greenlight and they halved my premiums. The other 3 couldnt get near it, even Heritage who i was with at the time. Oh and as i was advised by my gf who used to work in car insurance, if you put your gf on as a second driver it can help to reduce the quote.
  14. Indeed, or just go with an exchange VR from Vege at less than 2k - a mate has now done over 60 k miles in his and it's still silent, uses no oil and and pulls like a train! I know I know im always complimenting the Vege engine ive got. But as Steve says it cost less the 2k for the lump. Just swap the ancilaries over. Glad to hear at 60k its still silent and still using no oil. Mines only done half that mileage, your mates will be just about run in now ey Steve :D
  15. Well took another look today and found a split pipe (see no. 9 on the above pic). Taped it up as a temporary measure and now although its now running better, it revs fine and when you drive it, it drives reasonably ok. But its the idle thats the issue, its idling cr@p. Could this just be the idle valve? As for the pipe i spoke about before, couldnt quite get to it. Its a bugger even from underneath the car. Though now, im not 100% convinced thats an issue, but i cant quite see if there is a slight hole in the pipe. Ive tried to tape it up with some electrical tape, again as a temporary measure until i can get it replaced - looks as though its been rubbing on a near by bracket, but cant see if theres an actual hole.
  16. I'll definately be giving it another watch :D
  17. This is is, i havent ever blames P2G for losing them, like Matt says, they're just a broker, not a courier. Also the condition the packaging was in one of the times they came back. The wheels had been trodden on and ripped the card. My displeasure is with them getting it sorted. THey were posted at the beginning of Nov and i made the claim towards the end of Nov. They just dont seem to care about getting them found and sorting this mess out. They dont ring you back when they say they will either. Wish i'd have stuck with Interparcel, sent various sets of wheels with them and other packages, not had one single problem with them. I would have used DHL via Interparcel also.
  18. I did have a 6 branch feeding into a sports cat - no power gains, but noticably more eagar on throttle response. That was it though. Now im running standard manifold and downpipe into the sports cat and although the more eagar throttle response is still there, its curbed off a little. Not worth worrying about though. Ive heard others say the 6 branch gives a good noise. Didnt hear it myself, though im already running a BMC CDA.
  19. Finally watched Inception tonight. Got to say i loved it, was thoroughly enthralling, it really drew me in. Probably down to the fact you had to concentrate to ensure you followed it, especially the beginning. I actually enjoyed Leonardo D'Capprio's role in it too  - one of his better films. Brilliant and highly recommended 9/10 8)
  20. I would if i could be bothered to do that.
  21. heh... strange. Got another email 2 days ago stating that becuase they hadnt received the manifest they requested (the same one they already had), they were closing the claim down. Well i responded with some strong words, along with a explanation as to why that is the correct manifest. Anyway, i think things are starting to progress... im now getting regular communication and a list of times the wheels were scanned. The last being the 7/1/11... so maybe they've actually found my wheels. P2G are still awaiting response from DHL. Fingers crossed.
  22. As it stands right now, job security could be an issue. Changing jobs isnt [edit] necessarily an option, going to a new job could be less job security - last in first out and all that. There's no point in changing jobs so you can be closer to home and save cash on fuel, if 3 months down the line you could be facing redundancy. You could see this as an extreme scenario, but people want job security and its not necessarily guaranteed.
  23. See what you mean about the comments on ED38 (im super_fish on there). But then, we are talking about the forum that gloats about smashing their sumps, ripping off splitters etc - as stated by someone in the ED38 thread.
  24. ah so you play golf for real? Ive played tiger woods on the wii and to be honest it was rubbish. You couldnt get a decent swing and the putting was shocking. Anyway, i digress...
  25. Is it!? I thought it was one of these  What was Tiger Woods like with the PS Motion. Was it responsive enough?
