I used to have the exact same problem in my G60, and when i went to track days/fast road i used to set the breaks on fire! :shock: Figured out that the fluid had never been changed. Useless fact no5565: Your flexi hoses can (and will) absorb water and as little as (i think) 1% water in your break fluid will reduce the boiling point of your break fluid by up to 25 degrees c! (end geek mode) I ended up replacing all of the break fluid with dot 5.1 stuff. I had to flush all of the old stuff out so i used nearly 2ltrs of 5.1, but the car now stops on a dime everytime and i get no boiling fluid on track days. But I still managed to turn my discs blue! :oops: )

Sorry to hear about that. Was there any other damage (bodywork wise)? Looks like was just a window, so (fingers crossed) might be a cheapish fix. But that's besides the point, it shouldn't have happened, and people like that deserve to have their legs broken! :mad:

Well i ditched my charger in favour of a turbo! :D You could sell the charger on to fund the project, if you're handy with the spanners and look around enough, you could probably do the whole conversion for around £2500 And you wouldn't have to worry about servicing the charger. Edit: Gotta admit, i do miss that charger howl though. :cry:

20vt conversions are quite popular, using qpeng engine management, there's none of the immobliser problems, if you get the right copy of PVW or the one off 'ultimate golf' they did, they give you a step by step guide on how to do it to a mk2 golf. Little different, but essentially the same.

Sounds like wishbone bushes to me too, get someone to watch your front wheel, then drive foward/back a few times, if there's any movement in the wheel (apart from the obvious!!) it's your bush. The vertical wishbone bush is sometimes held in by a metal collet thing (very technical here, but it is new years day!!! :hic:) between the bolt and the bush, sometimes they break up inside. Had A LOT of trouble with one of these on a MK2 once.

Has it been raining where you are? I've had the same problem with mine, found out that the water gets into the relays and causes havoc! I simply took the casing off of the relays, dried them out (they wre soaking!) and then put them back together with the help of Mr silicone for a bit of water proofing! :wink:

I've managed to burn out one motor (in the summer) but think that was just through lack of lubricant, so i give it a smearing of grease on the arms every one in a while just for piece of mind.

Can't say personally but it says here that it'll work on a VR too.

There is a way to modify the speed at which the spoiler comes up at. There was a thread/how to on it not too long ago.
