-
Nasty!! This is the best i could do:
-
Looking sweet mate, a friend of mine has one, it's a total beast! :thumbleft:
-
Me too!
-
Either that or look for an audi breaker.
-
You should really have your power completely seperate from all the rest, cos it can effect it. A ground loop isolator is basically a box you put your rca's through to stop all kinds of ground based interference.
-
Carefull Si, all that sound deadening will slow you down! Recon you've got enough power to pull it all along?!!!
-
How have you routed your wires? If the RCAs are right next to the power cable, that'll cause interference similar to what you're describing. Might also be worth getting a ground loop isolator for your RCAs.

The 6 port charger was used on rallyes (and i think early raddos), they tended to crack because the walls between the ports were thin, Corrados tend to use 4 port chargers with thicker walls. Not too sure about the porting bit though, get hold of g-man he'd be the person to help you out with that one!
-
Good choice!!!!! :thumbleft:
-
Hang on, aren't they suppose to have 5 doors??? Someone's been playing!!!
-
Correct me if i'm wrong (which i probably am-been nearly a year since i had a charger!) but that looks like a 6 port charger out of a rallye?
-
Awesome car 8) Agreed, something about those boxy arches!

Friend of mine (champo from CGTI) just asked to post up his: Pacific blue peugeot 205 1.9 gti with half leather trim.
-
My mate would love you, he really wants one of those! p.s. cool avatar! 8)

Cheers, always had a weakness for them. I was thinking about one after the raddo, but now i've got a real need for a 24v vr raddo!

Ok i've seen the money no object threads, and the one vw, no modding ones. But let's pretend vag doesn't exist (scary i know!!!). Money IS an object, what would it be? I've always been tempted with the BMW E30 M3:

When i first brought mine home, all my dad said was: 'That's a Capri, isn't it?'

It's a completely different drive now, unfortunately, a lot of the low down grunt has been lost (cos it was being supplied bu the charger), and i'm still missing the whine. Even so, it's a much better car because of it, it produces around 210-220 bhp with no engine mods, i've only got a de-cat and Jettex. But the real difference is the torque (around 230-240lb/ft), when the turbo spins up it just pulls like a train, it's still pulling hard when i run outta gears at around 145! :shocked!:

I know they start around 2 grand for just the kit. (good for 200+) The next stage is to upgrade the injectors/mk4 map sensor and to put a boost controller in.(240-260) Better still have the whole engine rebuilt 1900 style with all of the above, +cam/bigvalve head, run 1.5bar and see over 300! I'm going up there next week, so i can give more details then if you'd like, but i've been running the basic kit for just under a year now and it's a wicked piece of kit! :thumb right:
