    Well i'm gonna stick on the MK3 alternator and use the pulleys, but i wanna know where the compressor for the air con would go on a G60 before i buy one, just in case i end up needing a mk3 one of those as well!

    Has anyone got any pics of the engine bay with the A/C compressor? My charger is 'missing' and i'm about to convert to a mk3 setup, just to loose the charger bracket/complicate things further! :roll:

    Cheers, good reading, but £1000-£1200 seems a bit steep, recon i could retro fit something myself, perhaps out of a passat g60?

    Hmmm, might have to get 'creative' with a golf g60 setup. Pretty sure they came with it.

    I'm seriously thinking about putting A/C into the raddo for next summer, but i want to know if the G60 ever came with it. Has anybody done this conversion/have it on a G60 as standard? Cheers guys.

    You can get people who do paintless dent removal, i've had mine done and they really do a good job!

  9. When i was having the turbo fitted, there were no vws there at all, just an astra! :cry: But now two vws live there!! Never did get around to crushing it! :lol:

  20. Sorry mate but no, the 16v uses kjetronic (mechanical) injection, where the g60 uses digifant. The digifant is lower pressure, i think. G60 might be interchangeable with 8v golf 88+ though. :?:

  22. Thinking about putting 18's on mine as summer wheels, only thing is, the hight i run, the bloody things would never go round!!! PhatVR6, the house in that pic is wicked! It's got a modded raddo, a partly finished sweet looking mk2 and in the corner is a country!!!!

And i thought MY fuel consumption sucked!! :shock: Sounds like the belt that drives the power steering pump is slipping on the pulley, it would explain the squeeking and the difficulty in turning the wheels. You could try gettin someone to turn the wheels while you look and listen under the bonnet. If it is the pump, you might as well get it done same time as the cam belt as the charger belt has to come off to do it anyway. I got told once a cam belt would cost about £90 +parts for a G60.
  24. Probably drop a twin turbo R32 lump in running 4wd, seen one see off B16 DUB at inters a few years back, 0-60 in 2.6sec! :shock:
