My first choice would be BBS LM's and i also like ZW1's

god i feel like the boring old mother of the forum, as i never go over 3k before 90deg's and even after that i rarely go over 5k! unless a passenger wants to see her go :( This car has certainly calmed me down!
-
i HATE people who drive too close to the car in front.
-
im currently having a nightmare trying to get mine off. the bottom layer of adhesive just wont budge, i have some autoglym tar remover but it does nothing :( Plus the paint under it seems to have corroded a small amount so i might just put them back on lol

what would i take to get the exhaust hole on the rear bumper on both sides for a twin setup like that?
-
lol, thanks :S whats do these 'FK' grilles look like then?
-
where can i get a grille from like Jim's?
-
agreed, people have no respect for other people's vehicles. Everytime i return to my car and somebody is parked close i inspect my door for marks.

Everything went fairly smoothly after the pulleys came off, yet i think its abit tight as it makes a whooshing drone noise, will the belt loosen or should i re-adjust the tensioner?
-
ah, thanks mate.. I recently changed the timing belt/tensioner and used an 8v golf haynes manual to help me. And there was no centre punch mark on my intermediate shaft so i spent ages trying to time it the same is it was when i took the old belt off. Yet, after 5turns it would never return to the same position so i was getting extremely confussed because the distributor and the valves were always in the correct positions. Anyway sorry for going off topic abit, but thanks h100vw.
-
It sounds to me asif the intermediate pulley is timed wrong hence distributor is out. Personally i would take timing belt off and retime it. Ensuring valve 1 is at TDC and the diss rotor is at the correct position. I expect h100vw knows a better alternative though

HELP MEEEE! i have removed the crankshaft pulley but how the fuck do you get the lower timing belt cover off? its just stuck behind the other 2pulleys which i cannot take off because the pulley just spins. Do i need to remove those pulley's? haynes doesn't suggest this. getting annoyed with this as everything seems to be stuck.

i also have this problem so would be interested in the answer, just been hoping that i dont get a flat else im fekced :E
-
ok i searched properly and have found the answer. Which is: HAMMER TIME!

AB, i believe that there is only one valve (on the way out) the one on the way in is a straight through piece of metal pipe. g60cc, Im not sure how everyone else does it, but i didn't want to pay £25 for a new one and i didn't have piping the correct diameter to just connect both pipes together so i simply drilled mine out.

I am having alot of problems getting the crankshaft pulley off. I have removed the four bolts holding the two (one small, one large) pulleys on and i have marked the both pulleys posistions against the crankshaft nut. The smaller pulley at the front came off easy, but i cannot shift the larger pulley (which i think is called the 'crankshaft pulley'). there are 4threaded holes through it which i have tried tightening the screws into to prize it off, but it doesn't even move. What is best practice to get this pulley off so i can remove the lower casing? I dont need to remove the crankshaft nut do i? Rich

Corrado VR6 Storm Vs Lamborghini Gallardo [And a few TVRs!]

how old was the lambo driver? :E -
briefly how does k-jet work? and which engines is it on? 1.8 KR 9a?

Thanks guys. One thing that i dont understand though is the pattern of the noise. I would have thought it was the bearings in the tensioner that the noise would be constant and relentless. But it has a distinct noise pattern of scraping for 4seconds and silence for 1second. Will replace the tensioner/belt on friday though. And wont drive it before then.
