i spend 3hours washing and leathering today and will wax it in the morning then remove the interior for a bloody good clean if i have time.
-
Nah its not that, this is the thin metal that is connected directly to the front of the chassis and has a PAS cooling pipe which runs out through it and back in again.
-
i dont think so, but you should be able to bend it back as it only joins the splitter to the bottom of the bumper and holds them in place.

Female people, pfff.

WTF thats unbelieveable? They must have had a screwdriver in there trying to force it open?

I dont really know how i became so obsessed with the Corrado. I think i must have seen one driving around and instantly wanted one. I can remember not knowing much about them but checking an insurance quote and it was like £4500 so i assumed i wouldn't stand a chance of getting one till i was about 25. After over a year of driving a renault 19 1.9D i just had to get one, so when my parents went on holiday for a week i bought one and left it in a building at work for a week or two before i told my rents :E

wow really not sure about the stretch.

Changed my rear beam bushed to powerflex and attempted to flush out the old skanky brake fluid. I now have hardly any brakes so i'll have to take it easy to work and back this week :E Also next weekend is front wishbone bushes

Off topic; What would if cost to get your manifold etc finished like this and what type of paint is it?: http://www.oichan.org/mycorra/specs/engineblack3.jpg Is it possible to spray it yourself?

Jobs are extremely easy to get, when you get one it will sort problem 2 and problem 2 will sort out problem 3.

Yes this was smaller, it was 10mm and the rest are 11mm

Where is the bleed nipple for the master cylinder? I tried to bleed something i assumed was the master cylinder, it was below and to the right of the brake top-up bottle, but nothing would come out? I will keep trying, but i wasn't sure if i was making a glaring mistake somewhere because nothing changed after two attempted bleeds.

I changed my rear axle bushes this weekend and decided to flush the brake fluid whilst i was at it, but im having problems bleeding the brakes now. I have bled them twice in the correct order and have even done the two nipples on the pump in the engine bay. I get a pretty good pedal, but as soon as i start the engine the pedal goes totally soft and i have to push it almost to the floor before anything bites. Im bleeding the system with the ignition on using a pipe and jar, its a vr6 so i do have ABS. Any suggestions?

my vr6 has hit 150k but its keeping well

must have been abit slick on that corner as the golf almost stacks it aswell

I assumed everyone lined up their heater grille's, i also set the seats at the same distance from the dash and on the same height setting and i also plug in the rear seatbelts because it looks cleaner.. Plus eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited within the motor vehicle. Damn im sad..

Slam panel is pretty easy; Remove front splitter, then remove the bumper by taking out four bolts which hold the brackets to the chassis (there are two on each side). Now remove the headlights, grille and the bonnet pull wire. Remove the two hooks ontop of the slam panel that hold the radiator upright (the rad shouldn't fall over on its own but just becareful of it once the slam panel is removed. The next step is to look for all the slam panel bolts which hold it in place (about 10 or 12 and they are everywhere lol) including two on the front which hold the verticle bar to the chassis.. Hope that helps, its been a while since i took mine out but its pretty simple/self explanatory. The hardest bit is finding all the bloody bolts lol. The bonnet doesn't need to be removed (just held up out of your way) and the engine doesn't need to be supported.

I liked the 16valve engine and im sure the 8valve is great too, but ive never worked on or been in a g60. Now ive experienced the vr6 i wouldn't even consider going back to a valver or swap it for a g60. Its refined, easy going and solid which is what i want from a car. Plus the noise when you stretch your big toe is pure sex.

Well i cut the bolt head off and removed the rear beam, but it turns out venommotorsport has sent me the wrong beam bushes, so my car is stuck in the middle of my drive until i can get the new ones sent out :@ ffs!
-
If not, can i remove the mounts which mount the axle to the chassis? I think it has 3-4 bolts per mount but this will mean i will still have to remove the compensator or cut the bolt.
-
I started this job this morning but i cannot shift the allen key bolts in the brake load compensator valve (horrible bastard thing) and i really dont want to cut it off (£70). Does anyone know if its possible to simply hacksaw the bolt head off the bearing bolt, buy a new one and fit it the other way when the axle goes back on? After moving moving it as far as possible it looks tappered in some way, so does the shaft of the bolt change in diameter (meaning it wont go in back to front)?? Thanks, Rich

Car sounds nice! When i first bought my corrado i went on a trip two days later for a week which killed me as i just wanted to get back and play :E -
Thats a fair amount of money in one whack, but it sounds like a very nice example and if its your "dream vehicle" then who cares how much it cost. Just enjoy the car and get your money's worth.
